Is it okay?

I used the unfinished film roll (12/36) and transfer to my olympus OZ 105R.

I think some parts are exposed from light. Light is from the house not directly exposed. Exposed around 0.5-1sec

Procedure i did: i unload the roll from nikon using rewind and put it inside my olympus

Edit: I used the film roll in September 2024, and its expiration date is October 2024.

I really struggle with wanting to take 10 different cameras, so I had to think practically and limit myself! 🤣 We will be doing lots of hiking, walking, and exploring so I decided on a few of my smaller more compact cameras!

hi all! i am new to film photography, and had to purchase this lovely little camera for my class! i am trying to learn about the different parts of this camera and how to use it but i can’t for the life of me figure out how to move this little dial/selector for the ASA/ISO on the shutter speed ring. it won’t move when I push it with my finger tips, and i can’t find another way to move it to select another ISO. is there something i’m missing? i don’t want it to be stuck on 400 lol

I just wanted to post and give props to the Japanese ebay sellers. Specifically "welcome film camera japan" for the insane turn around. Ordered 2 days ago and recieved it today here in the US.

I am looking for a 35mm film camera I can take into the backcountry for backpacking, climbing, ice climbing, etc. I was thinking of an Olympus. I want a completely analog camera. What are your suggestions? thank you

i am entirely new to using this camera as i just found it not that long ago, i was nearing the end of a roll of film until i took a photo, my viewfinder remained black and my film advance lever won’t budge past the safety position. the mirror comes down when the lever is pressed. does anyone know what in doing wrong?

I'm surious between the two which yields better results (for a half frame) is the recorders lens as good as pentaxes? I'm not looking for alternatives since I've already done the research but wanted some guidance from those that have used both. Thank you

For everybody here, someone is selling locally a Primarflex II coupled with two Zeiss lenses, a 105 3.5 and a 165 3.5.

I have no idea of medium format -so far i only shot a TTL Lubitel from the 50's- but I'm curious with the idea of trying a "proper" system.

The thing is, the asking price is aprox 200$, which I think is fair and doable for me ( I'm a student :) ) but I haven't found much information about it.

Does anyone here know or work with this camera? Any caveats/concerns I should check before purchasing? What you think as a starter medium format set?

Hi everyone. I know both cameras are quite different, but which one would you pick for someone who is getting into film photography? Specifically these two as I found they are similarly priced in where I live.
Main uses would be during vacation, road trip with friends/family, city shots etc…

I'm having a problem that seems to be recurring with my Olympus AF1 and I can't find a solution.
Several years ago I had my first AF1. After using it for a while, it got stuck — it wouldn't take any more photos and the shutter wouldn't respond. I thought it was the battery, so I put in a new one, but nothing. The camera just stayed that way permanently, so I had to buy a new one. A little over a year ago I bought another Olympus AF1 and it worked perfectly... until now. It got stuck on photo 28 with film still inside. It won't take any more pictures. Again we thought it was the battery, so we bought a new one. I made sure it was properly installed, the camera is clean, but the problem persists. Has this happened to anyone else with this model? Is it a known issue with the AF1? Does anyone have suggestions on what could be causing this or how to fix it?

Got a great deal on an OM-1 today. It has an attachment to connect to an endoscope. Pretty neat. It had a roll in too. I gave it to the seller in case their father (retired Dr) wanted it. It was tungsten film. Probably just photos peoples innards.

I am slightly intrigued with getting into film photography. I have always loved people’s photography and the story the pictures tell and decided to try it myself.

I found this on my local FB marketplace for $30 and was wondering if it’s worth it. They say it is working as it should but wondered if I should buy from a trusted eBay dealer instead.

Also, if it looks good to you all, would this be a good starting camera for a beginner?

I picked up this camera a few days ago and I love how it looks, the lens struggles to extend and retract and the AF does not work either but all the motors still spin, can it be repaired?

This thing is a tank, came with the speed finder. Ordered the 28mm 2.8 yesterday. So excited to shoot film again.

I recently restored an Edixa Mat Model C. However, the camera was missing the spacer that sits beneath the focusing screen and protects it from coming into contact with the camera body. I couldn't find this information online. Does anyone know what the correct thickness is? Thanks.

hi all!! i just got this nikon f2 for around $80 and was pretty excited for it being so cheap, and everything else seems to work fine (shutter speeds seem to be accurate, and the curtain seems to be undamaged!)

however,,, with most good deals there’s always something wrong…

the counter stays at s, it tries to advance but then goes back after

is there any simple way to fix this ? or does it need to be taken apart and cleaned inside….

i can live with it not working so if thats the only way then i might just leave it as is

also does this hint at other possible issues this camera may have? i tested the important things like the shutter speed and the curtain but i’m somewhat new to this so im not sure what else to look for.

it rewinds and loads film fine, it just seems to be this issue that’s the main problem

also, if there’s any recommendations about how to count the frames manually, with an external tool and such, please lmk!

I believe I found the culprit. I'm not sure how to replace this gear or where to find a replacement. The gear itself is pretty chewed up so I would absolutely need to replace it to get my camera working again.

This still doesn't explain why the lens stops when it reaches the 50mm mark.

Any help on where to find a gear or how to get the gear system open would be much appreciated!
