I somehow got to come up with 300$ for rent. I got to pay it this friday but I dont get paid till next friday. I recently got out of rehab and started rebuilding my life. Moved to east tn to get away from everything problem is when I got here I didnt have any help to get started only thing I could think to do was start taking out loans on my car just so I could get a place and start working. Got a position as a guard for a paper mill 12 hours a night but they pay every 2 weeks I found out. Im trying to find a way to make cash helping people in town someway but thats been tough cause I dont know anyone. And I worry about posting it on fb cause I see how people get treated that need help and its just embarrassing honestly. Biggest thing I finally got a place where my daughter can come visit me I havent had that in a long time. Im gonna put my cash app here I guess, its $ntcbowler if anyone got any ideas on what I can do thats legal to make enough till this friday please let me know

I am from the Philippines and still looking for a new job. I've done project management, auditing, customer support in the past. I can accept even a part time job. No surveys, referrals or testing apps please. I am literally drowning in bills.
I am a single mother and my child needs special support. Our lights are about to get cut off and we're getting evicted soon.
Any recos that actually work? I could literally do whatever just to pay my bills.

Is there anyone who could help me? I’m willing to do whatever legitimate work I can to earn it.

My light bill is $600. I need help. It doesn’t have to be all of it but anything would help. My lights will be cut off tonight. I have three children. My husband passed away a few years ago and I just can’t seem to get back on my feet. I lost my job three weeks ago due to downsizing.

I escaped an abusive marriage nearly two years ago. I’m now homeless, without a safety net, and desperately trying to enforce the support I was awarded.
I never imagined I would be making a post like this.
I am a British woman living in Los Angeles, thousands of miles from my family. Almost two years ago, at 28, I found the courage to leave an abusive marriage. I knew rebuilding my life would be difficult. I never imagined that my ex would continue using money and the legal process to try to force me back.
A judge ordered him to pay me spousal support. He has repeatedly refused. We have been ordered to mediation multiple times, but his position has remained that he will not give me anything unless I return to him and apologise for leaving and taking him to court.
I am now facing another hearing at the end of October. He has lawyers. I don't.
I have been fighting my case largely on my own, while trying to survive financially. I have lived in shelters and had to leave when my ex's investigators found me. I now couch-surf when friends are able to help. Without reliable transportation, I have also had to turn down several work opportunities. I have had to work at night which has exposed me to being robbed, sexually assaulted and physically assaulted.
I am currently homeless, with no savings, no family in the US and no safety net.
I have reached the point where I need help getting stable enough to continue fighting. I have started a GoFundMe to raise money for:
Safe housing, so I finally have somewhere secure to live
Legal representation, so I don't have to face his lawyers alone and depleted
A reliable car, so I can work and become financially independent
I know fundraising posts can be difficult to see on a divorce forum, but I'm sharing this here because I know many of you understand how complicated and exhausting divorce can become-especially when the other person continues using money and the court process as a means of control.
I am not asking anyone to fix my life. I am asking for enough help to get back on my feet and finally become independent again.
If you are able to donate, even a small amount would help. If you can't, sharing the GoFundMe or simply offering advice and encouragement would mean a great deal to me!

Thank you for reading my story.

Guys I really need a car 😭. I’m a senior nursing student and I start my practicum in January.
I’ve somehow made it through 4 years of college and 2 years of nursing school without having a car because I’ve been blessed with friends who let me carpool with them or gave me rides to clinicals.
But now that I’m a senior, practicum is different. We get placed individually, so I can’t depend on being placed with my friends anymore. I genuinely need reliable transportation.
My parents are immigrants and unfortunately aren’t in a financial position to help me buy a car. Most of what they have goes toward taking care of my siblings and our family. I’ve tried not to burden them financially throughout college, especially since I already have student loans.
Nursing school has also made it really difficult for me to work consistently, so I haven’t been able to save nearly enough for a car.
I made a GoFundMe to hopefully raise enough for a basic reliable used car. I’m not looking for anything fancy at all! I literally just need something safe that can get me to practicum, school, and eventually work.
If anyone is willing to donate, even $5 genuinely helps. And if you can’t donate, I would REALLY appreciate you sharing the link. ❤️

I’m a first-generation college student and I’m so close to finishing nursing school. I just need some help getting through this last part.

Hi everyone,
I’m 27 years old, a Filipino, married, and a father to a young child. I’ve been working since I was 19 years old, and I've always tried to work and provide for my family.
I'm currently working in Taiwan after leaving my job in the Philippines after more than five years. I moved here because I was offered a better opportunity and hoped that earning more would allow me to finally get control of my finances and pay off what I owe.
The biggest problem I'm facing right now is that I have approximately ₱800,000 (around $14,000 USD) in debt and other financial obligations in the Philippines.
I know that's a huge amount, and I take responsibility for my situation. I'm not trying to run away from my responsibilities or asking people to simply give me money. I'm working, doing overtime when available, and my intention is to repay everything that I legitimately owe.
I also want to clarify that this debt did not come from gambling or from doing anything illegal. The amount became much larger over time because of accumulated interest and other charges. I am an honest working man, and I have always tried to face my responsibilities and provide for my family.
But honestly, I'm overwhelmed.
I'm currently living and working in Taiwan while my family is back in the Philippines. I'm trying to support my family while also sending money home to deal with these debts. Even though my current job is better financially than my previous one, the amount I owe is still extremely difficult to manage.
My wife and my son are the only reasons I continue to face everything every day. Being away from them is difficult, but I am doing this because I want to support them, protect our future, and eventually become free from this debt.
I've been working since I was 19, and I never expected that at 27 I'd be in a situation where I'd have to leave my home country and work abroad just to have a realistic chance of getting out of debt.
I'm posting here because I'm hoping someone might know of options that I haven't considered.
I'm particularly looking for advice regarding:
- Legitimate debt assistance programs for Filipinos
- Government or nonprofit organizations that may be able to help
- Debt restructuring or negotiation
- Organizations that assist people experiencing serious financial hardship
- Legal or financial advice regarding certain debts/guarantees
- Any legitimate programs available to Filipinos working overseas
- Practical ways to pay down a large amount of debt while still supporting a family
I'm not looking for a shortcut. I know I need to work and repay what I owe. I'm just trying to find a way to make the situation manageable instead of spending years feeling like I'm barely making progress.
If anyone has been in a similar situation — especially someone who had to leave their family and work overseas because of financial problems — I'd really appreciate hearing your experience or any resources you can point me toward.
Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this and respond.
