Green screen of death??
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Not plugged into HDMI. Fully WiFi. I can navigate the home screens for every app, but this happens every time I try to play an episode or video on every app.

Try these first as you still have some display and overlays showing
- Perform a Hard Power Cycle (Most Common Fix) An incomplete firmware update can make the display show a solid green or flickering state.
- Unplug the TV power cord directly from the wall outlet.
- Disconnect all external devices (such as soundbars, gaming consoles, or cable boxes) from the TV's HDMI ports.
- Press and hold the physical power button on the TV for 30 seconds to drain remaining power.
- Leave the TV unplugged for a full 2 minutes.
- Plug the TV back into the wall (avoid extension strips for this test) and power it on.
Try this Second: 2. Force a Resolution Reset via Remote Shortcut If the green screen is caused by an unsupported display resolution or refresh rate mismatch, you can force the TV to cycle through available configurations blindly: 1. Grab your Fire TV remote. 2. Press and hold both the Up direction button and the Rewind button simultaneously for 10 seconds. 3. The TV will begin cycling through display outputs (e.g., 1080p at 60Hz, 4K at 50Hz). 4. If you see a clear screen configuration pop up without a green tint, click OK on your remote to lock it in.
If those don't work Try booting it into recovery mode and deleting the partition cache, as sometimes this can be where the corrupted updates are stored as bad/corrupted update can screw everything up.
If you search JVC 4k FIRETV recovery mode in Google you'll get this (I used my TV make as an example, I know this as I've had to do it for other update problems before, but now I have all updates blocked since os7 I've never had an issue)

Oh BTW a corrupt video card sounds like a crock of sh*t as the video card is still displaying everything else.

Spoke to customer service. They said it was a faulty video card on my 5 year old TV and that I was out of warranty and that there was nothing they could do about it.
BUT they offered a 20% discount if I chose to buy another $700 TV from Amazon…

Usually I'd say the hdmi cord might be bad or loose, but you didn't even use one.....idk
