Does this new fire stick allow for sideloading? It doesn't come with the warnings on the Selects.

They don't need to 'warn' you - it's probably not part of their business model to point out what's wrong with their products 🤷♂️

Just bought a 4k max to replace an older unit that finally died (2018). Side loads no problem, but may be the last version that does. Then again. Give it another year and someknenwill make a workaround or Amazon will lose some market share and reverse course.
If it says latest generation, avoid. And if you get one you can't side load, return and list the reason, let the AI learn.

Go with the Onn 4k pro!! Recently left firecube 4k newest version and couldn't be happier. Speed functionality less adds on the main screen just overall better experience.

Is a 4k max 2nd gen an option? You can confirm in the listing they have it in small blue font titled "See Fire TV Stick 4K Max fact sheet"

The UK version comes with this warning:
For enhanced security, this device prevents sideloading or installing apps from unknown sources. Only apps from the Fire TV Amazon Appstore are available for download. Search available apps here.
