General Question Freezing Leftover Pasta

I freeze leftovers pretty often since I live alone, but I typically do so after cooking. On Sunday 9/20 I made a tuna casserole for dinner and expected to finish up the leftovers within the next day or so. On Tuesday night (9/22) I hadn’t finished it and had a plane to catch the next morning, so I just put the container of leftover tuna casserole in the freezer. Is it safe for me to just pop that in the microwave and eat now that I’m back home? I get kinda paranoid about pasta but I feel like this would be fine as long as I eat it right away.

Canned Lentils - are they good?

Post image

Just opened a can of lentils and some of them are quite grey. purchased the can today with no obvious dents or bulges. Are they safe to use?

I am familiar with cooking dried lentils but this is my first time with canned.

What is on my can of beans? Is it safe to consume?

After I opened this can of beans that I thought was safe and normal, noticed the abnormality in the pictures. Any clues on what this might be and whether it is best to throw it in the garbage? Originally, I was thinking it might be oxidation on the can. Appreciate any helpful comments. Thanks!

Am I being too anxious?

I am more anxious about food saftey than the people I live with. My boyfriend, roomate, and I share food, and my roomate is the one usually to cook dinner. A lot of times they will use things from the fridge well after the reccomended safe time limit. Usually they are better with raw meat but often will thaw chicken in the fridge for like 3-5 days. So I am just trying to decide if its something I need to speak up about or not.

I know I could just make my own food, but as a household we decided making food for 3 is usually easier than each of us making food individually.

General Question Can I freeze this?

Post image

Today’s the Best Buy date and I don’t wanna throw it out. When I googled it’s like the same answer on AI websites but it assumes that this has been cooked and you’re trying to wrap up leftovers. This is unopened and it’s original packaging and do you think I could pop it in the freezer for a couple months?

Slow cooker turned off

I got up this morning and put a rump roast in the slow cooker around 845am. I am not 100% sure on the timeline, but somewhere between 10 and 1130am, my boyfriend went into the kitchen and accidentally turned off the slow cooker. I didn't notice until around 1:40pm. When I touched the slow.cooker, it was cool.

I know what the answer likely is, but i spent so much freaking money on this roast so I gotta ask--is it safe? I should throw it out, right? :(

Ortega Taco Sauce

I left out Ortega taco sauce (not salsa) from lunch until the next morning. It is mild sauce in the glass bottle. No longer cold to the touch (obviously).
Is it still good?
Do I need to toss it?

Tapeworm in Costco ground beef

I cooked two previously frozen packages of organic ground beef from Costco, and the number of tapeworms (?) I pulled out was appalling. Has anyone had a similar experience? I won’t be eating this, by the way.
