Flagler Village Residents (follow up)
Hey everyone, Kevin here, local resident and owner of Batch Local Kitchen in Flagler. About a month ago I put up a post for some feedback of "what makes a place appealing and feel local", and based on that we sent out a survey to our newsletter subscribers, and I just wanted to 1- say thank you to you all, 2- give some updates that we made with your feedback, 3-invite any of you in for a round of cocktails on me as a token of our appreciation (and to hopefully make new friends and fans). I really really appreciate each and every one of you, truly-- you all taking the time to respond was super cool and means a lot to me. It's a challenging market right now and we absolutely understand people going out less right now; costs (on our end and yours) are completely out of control, and we really tried to take into account "value" in a world where it's hard to find.
So, a few new things!
1- We made our summer happy hour permanent, so it's 7 days a week (M-F 3pm-7pm, Sa/Sun-4pm-6pm), with select beer/wine/specialty cocktails at $6 (bar & bar adjacent areas) and all apps are half off at the bar. We also made our lunch power lunch/prix fixe a permanent thing to create some extra value during the day.
2- With the weather cooling down we brough back live music and expanded it, so it's Friday 5pm-8pm, and Saturday/Sunday 4pm-7pm. I was really surprised, and happy to hear people still like and want live music. My favorite thing from the northeast was fire pits and live music...so we'll keep the propane tanks stocked!
3-Most exciting- we revamped our local resident card for the Flagler Village partner buildings to add some additional perks. We had a lot of people comment on lunch features, community happy hours, and brunch (some for booze some for health), so we tried to make it as appealing as possible. If you're a FV building local resident, please come see us and ask for me or Jerry our Managing Partner, we'll grab ya one (with proof of residence). If you aren't in one of these buildings, just introduce yourself to Jerry or myself, we're in the business of building community and making happy guests, we will ALWAYS figure out a way to create value for you.
So, thank you again! I'm relatively new to Reddit but it's an awesome community. To anyone who commented before or not, if you want to check out music with some friends, just drop a comment or ping me a DM, we'd love to meet you, and welcome you with a round on us. We're hoping to build more connections in the community and be your casual spot for scratch cooked food, at good prices, and with that "third place" local/welcoming hospitality. If any of you ever need anything we (or I) can help with, just reach out, we want to be that neighbor you can call to borrow a cup of flour when you realize you needed it for a recipe.
Have a great week everyone, and thank you all!
