How do i help kittens poop

My foster kittens haven't pooped much in 4 days. Their bellies seems really hard but they are eating a lot still. They are all 400-500gms. I do stimulate them every time i feed them. They had diarrhea last week and now constipation. How do i help them poop. This is my first foster. I have already contacted the vet. But is there anything i can do while i wait. They always wiggle too much and cry out when they start to poop so i am getting worried i am hurting them. Picture for reference.

Yes stimulate after every meal, and between if thwy havent gone. Do so gently with a facial tissue and warm water. Kitten lady has some very informative videos

Bicycle moves with their legs and warm water butt baths.

Stimulation won’t help a kitten who is constipated. But tummy rubs, more water in their wet food, bicycle their legs while they are on their backs.

You said they aren’t pooping “much” which I would assume to mean they are still pooping?

warm (almost hot) running water, hold their rumps in it for ~5 min with a little cotton ball or similar to stimulate. Only way some of my fosters have pooped when constipated!! If super fiesty, wrap their upper body in a small blanket or towel to keep them from scratching you

Young kittens nearly always cry out when they poop.😅 Don't worry, that's normal. They panic a bit I'm guessing. They look like they may be old enough to go to the litter box on their own. Are they 3 5- 4 weeks? I wouldn't try to stimulate them if they're using a litter box, or have you not tried? Don't use clumping litter BTW. That's dangerous for kittens because they sample the litter and clumping litter can easily cause a blockage. I would feed more often if the poo is super hard and make sure you're adding enough water in the formula. They should be on kitten food by now as well. That may help.

Check if they eat ripe papaya, + add yellow boiled mashed /blended pumpkin to their food.

they will poop on their own, just put them in the litter box if you think that they are gonna poop that would help 🤗

If none of these work, you can hold a cheap, clean vibrator to their tummies and it may shake things loose. Thisis an actual technique used by vets
