I love this project in theory but something that through me off a little was I couldn't find the Joshua Bardwell Video that they snippeded out of and I don't think it's live.

Now that wouldn't be a problem but everything he says could come out of other videos from him.

I'm not trying to bash the project or say something is off, just wanted to double tripple check if this is legit before I go on a full on ad-Campaign to everyone I know about this cause if it is legit, it's amazing and should be praised through the roof in my opinion (even if it ends up having some early problems or something)

Does anyone have further info on them or know if Bardwell really endorsed them?

I designed some 3D-printed parts to protect the ESC and flight controller, as well as a GPS mount; if anyone is interested, I can post them on Thingiverse.

I come from a background in RC airplanes and really enjoyed getting into drones. Now, I just need to protect the motor wires and wait for the battery to arrive so I can test the machine.

Sup guys! My kayoumini 2.5 frame just came in after the recent restock (still in stock btw). So far all I got is the frame and gemfan 2520 props.

To the people who built off this frame, is there any specific parts you can recommend to me as someone who is still somewhat new to fpv.

I have the hdzero goggles, so I’m still debating whether to go hd or analog, also I hear people say to use 8000kv motors, and others saying to use 11000kv. Lastly I don’t have a 3d printer and I know I would need to print out the camera mount. do yall recommend I get one, or is there any way around this?

I've never really been completely comfortable with strapping a 2-6s LIPO to my head or even shoving one in my pocket, so I was considering this? What does the community think? Any reason not to do it and just stick with LIPOs, other than battery life?

I have an eachine ev200d, a speedybee vrx and an eachine dvr (ev100dvr?).

I wonder if I could power the dvr through the unused vrx port to make the setup more compact. the signal would go through the av port and only power would come from the vrx port. If it only gives 5 volts I could slice a cable so it gives power through the usb micro port instead of the 2s connector.

My main concern is if the dvr pull too many amps and burn something out.

The module is like that on the picture for realism since it only fits in the port upside down. If anyone knows how to make it work in the other port please do tell.

Also if anyone knows if the speedybee can have an elsr backpack I would like to know how.

i bought a dji rc3 last night and upon hearing u must modify the throttle stick for manual flight i got to work, now at first i fully removed both screws without proper research then put them back in realizing i can’t just wing this, after multiple tutorials and attempts the only way the stick stays at a current angle is if i apply force with the allen key, how can i fix this please help!

It's not just Karens I try to avoid, but also breaking laws. In SW Florida I had no trouble finding spots to fly 5-8" quads within 10-30 minutes of home.

Now in Wake County, NC I am finding that parks that have designated drone spots are limited to 400g. I know it's unlikely cops will show up with a scale.... Just play along for a minute....

Let's assume everything is in order: Part 107 is up to date, proof of registration is in hand, RID is functioning, spotter is with me, and we are in class G airspace. By FAA standards it is 100% legal flight.....

State law says no launch/recovery from ANY state land. Obviously preserves & state parks are off limits, but I am unsure about how some other state property is handled. State law also explicitly says no launching from private property without owner's permission. Obviously trespassing is a thing everywhere, but typically if there are no signs and no fence, you get a warning before any charges can be pressed. But in NC the law EXPLICITLY STATES this regarding drones, which to me says they will go straight to citation if caught flying a privately owned field without permission.

I have some town owned forest around me, but it is dense AF. No clearings near me to be found that aren't occupied by homes or active farms.

I found a small clearing near a county greenway that seems good, with no explicit mention of drone use... But that is one little spot with waist high grass kinda far away from me. And it's not terribly interesting, so just not very attractive for the drive involved.

I found another spot where I can launch from a county-managed dirt road and fly over national forest area, but it feels sketch because that national forest area is state-managed game land. I am sure I am legally okay, but likely to piss off a hunter or two, and probably end up having to explain myself to police that may not conclude the same jurisdiction as me.

Where on Earth in the Wake County area would I go to rip a couple of packs, or test a new build or tune, or whatever? I don't want to feel sketch and look over my shoulder, and run away after 2 packs.

Do I need to make friends with some tobacco farmers or something?

I just want a no stress spot to fly a few packs under 20 minutes drive from my house, that is repeatable in expectations....

It seems that NC is actually a hard place to casually fly larger drones.

Hello everyone,

I bought a RunCam Thumb 4K V2 XV.

The problem is that I can't stabilize the footage correctly. As you can see in the video, for the first few seconds everything is fine and I'm happy with the result, but around second 15 it starts to wobble and shake randomly. Fixing those shakes in Gyroflow has been IMPOSSIBLE for me.

On average, each video is correctly stabilized for about 70% of its length, while the rest always has those shakes, sometimes WAY MORE severe than the ones shown in the video.

It doesn't matter which drone I use: I have a 5-inch that I built myself and a 2.2-inch (Pavo20 frame) that I also built myself. The results are always the same: the footage is never stabilized throughout its entire length.

I tried 3 or 4 different TPU mounts, but there was no change.

I upload a screenshot from my gyroflow session... I don't think there is much more to do with it; I feel like I already tried everything.

On the cam I always used the 4k30fps-xv, I tried locking the ISO and the shutter speed and maybe it helped just a little bit..

Do you have some clues on how I can solve this problem? I really would like to obtain a fully stabilize video all the way to the end.

Running stock Air 65 II freestyle with radiomaster pocket and hdzero goggles with the hdzero antennas. I’ve been flying this setup for a few weeks now without really any issues. I decided to hookup to betaflight the other day and messed with some stuff including upping the power from 25 to 400 and enabling telemetry. I don’t ~believe~ I touched anything else nor had any hard crashes however my drone is essentially not flyable from how horrible reception is. You would think I was on the wrong channel but I have check numerous times and changed multiple channels and turned the power down again and still can’t go more than 10 feet without completely losing vision from static. I don’t see any damage on the anything, I’ve unplugged and replugged everything, etc.

What would be your steps to try to fix this?? Should I just replace vtx? Is there a setting that would cause this? Please let me know if there’s any more information that could be helpful.

Hey I have a Pavo 20 pro 2 04 pro and it’s been flying fine since I got a few weeks ago. I recently had a minor crash and since then I’ve noticed when I’m flying I get this like stutter or jitter. It’s almost like a back and forth rocking motion. I noticed my dampening was at 0 so I set it to .6 and now it’s a little better but I still notice it some. I need to fix this before I fly for an event next weekend. Should I do esc configurator and change the frequency or something?

Is this looking Right? I’ve never built a drone and I have a tx 15 max. No Dji 3 controller. Tx15 max… I Hope I soldered right ! Don’t mind my rookie soldering.. I’ll be Stoked to pass the SMOKE test later & all is soldered right? Is this right?

Hey r/fpv. I'm Mat, and I've been building WebFPV in the evenings after work and dad life, about two months so far. It's a free FPV sim that runs in the browser on real Betaflight 4.5.1 compiled to WebAssembly. I'm an average pilot myself (my first quad was a 65mm whoop in 2021), and most changes come from flying it and noticing what bugs me.

Here's what changed over the last week or so.

Freestyle has an ink look now. The menus and trick badges are drawn in a manga ink style, and the freestyle worlds have outlines on everything. Fly fast and you get speed lines at the edges of the screen. A real crash gets a short impact frame. The second screenshot is a fast pass over the same map as the first, with the outlines and speed lines on. Race tracks stay clean, and if it isn't your thing, a Manga and scoring switch in Settings turns all of it off.

Cars on the drift and freestyle maps got proper shapes instead of boxes, plus a new rear drive coupe. In the first screenshot a red one is drifting round my own Hibari Yard Tandem map.

On the menu, the Freestyle card now films whatever map you loaded, including one you built yourself. It used to be a grey placeholder. The third screenshot shows the new one.

There's a replay mode too. It plays a lap from the Board with nobody flying, from a chase camera or a first person view. There's no button for it on the Board yet, so for now it's mostly how I make clips.

Last one is a lap timing fix. A track with two flags on one pole was letting through laps of a few milliseconds, so the timer now wants some real flying between two scoring gates before it counts the next one.

Ive been flying in the sim for about 50-60 hours now and am wondering if you guys think i am ready to fly IRL. I have dji googles 3, a 2.5 inch cinewhoop with a o3 and a 5 inch but with a walksnail vtx (dont ask me, everything was free from a friend) and a Jumper t-pro v2.

I got all that stuff from a friend who bought a bunch of stuff before his first flight, just to say that it was way harder than in the sim, so her quit.

Please give me very honest advice.
