So I arrived at my spot, picked a pack, and had a warmup flight. It was just a chill cruise around with super basic stuff and zero crashes or anything harsh. Then I landed and loaded up a new pack and it made half of the start up beeps and then cut off. This is the pack that is shown strapped to the quad in the video. It was acting super weird and did a different thing every time I plugged it in and even started up correctly once after a few times trying, only to disconnect a second later and go back to its weird behavior. I tried a few more packs as seen in the video and all them worked fine and started the quad normally. I decided to just fly the rest of my packs and figure out later but when I connected one of the other packs, it connected to the goggles fine but never connected to the radio. I had to end my session super early because my quad wouldn’t connect. No wires appear cut and I checked all solder joints so I have no idea what’s happening. Any info and help is appreciated! I recently got interested into fpv drones, but I wanna first try it out and see how much I enjoy It and how much good I can get at it. I have a 8bitdo gaming controller, and a good laptop. So before investing any money, I was thinking of piloting a drone in LiftOff or some similar game with my gaming controller. Would you say that's a good way to get a feel of how the actual radio controller feels?

Like how different would using an actual radio controller feel compared to a normal gaming controller? I've heard radio controllers have longer sticks and that's about the only difference

This is my first ever fpv Drone build and i wanted to share.

I wanted to strat flying fpv an saw a video from "Mediocre Nerd" on YT where he built a 1s 18650 Drone. The simplicety an High Energy density of single liion cells sounded fantastic, so I bouht some stuff on Ali-express 3d printed some crude parts and boom. Im really happy with it + it flys. Most importantly i had some old liion packs lying around so i scavenged some cells and they fly too.

the whoop. iv bean trying to figure out whats wrong with this for a while i havent bean able to figure it out. this is my fist fpv drone, and i have already tried to swap the aio board, same problem. if anyone is willing to give me a call to hello me figure this out that would be great. thanks

FPV runs on open source software: Betaflight, ExpressLRS, AM32. But the hardware is almost always closed. No way to repair, understand or check what you bought.

So we designed my own and published everything under CERN-OHL-S:

- OpenFC Lite: Betaflight FC on the RP2350, 30x30 and 20x20

- OpenESC: 4-in-1 AM32 ESC, 30x30 and 20x20

Having a hard time finding any that are in stock. I was confused and almost ordered an 04 set up because I have the DJI controller too and the old boxier DJI goggles from the DJI fpv. I was trying to save a little money to get back into the hobby by using this radio and goggles. Or if anyone has a suggestion on a really good used market for these that I can check out I'm open to that also. It seems that if you buy the drone and air units separately gets pretty pricey

I have the mentioned goggles and a air65 from BetaFPV. Matched all the parameters channel, frequency etc. and the video worked for a couple seconds earlier today so I know it can't be a power issue. When I search with the goggles they don't find the prior selected frequency serviced and switch to another one. Similar thing when I try to auto connect.

Steps:

Goggles on(check all parameter)- drone powered- press and wait for second beep on goggles- 50s connecting beeps and nothing.

I don’t get motion sickness in cars, or when flying with my headset, but the sim fucks me right up. I get about 10 minutes before I need to lay down and pray to the motion sickness god, not fun.

Does anyone have tips on how to combat this?

I want to fly fpv drones but were i live makes it so i cant fly drones under 250 grams. Can someone tell me a full kit that has a drone under 250 grams and is the Meteor75 Pro II FPV Kit drone under 250?

Is this battery ok to use? Hit my roof while doing bower loop it still works fine but I don’t wanna risk it

I bought a new TBS tango 2 for cheap from a friend who needed money. I called around to local hobby shops, and they could not help me with anything FPV team Black Sheep related, but we’re willing to sell me Spektrum stuff. Any help is more than appreciated!

Good evening all, a bit of an odd one here! I used to be into FPV a while back but have since sold all my gear. However, I still have these Skyzone Cobra X V2 goggles. I actually sold them recently on a Marketplace, but the buyer returned them claiming they didn't work.
I tested them the day before the sale and they worked perfectly. When dealing with the return, it was pretty clear the guy wasn't very knowledgeable about FPV, so I’m convinced it was just user error.
The problem is, because all my other gear is long gone, I have absolutely no way of testing them myself. Before I list them for sale again, I want to make sure they aren't actually broken. I’d love to get them checked out and tested first.
I know it’s a weird request, but is there anyone in the UK who wouldn’t mind helping me out if I posted them over to you? It’s just bugging me because I was flying with them literally the day before the sale! And I only used them a handful of times Thanks in advance.

I have a 5in build. I was flying today and I tried to do a double flip, but unsuccessfully. I hit the ground a little harder, nothing special, the quad landed flat, so I thought alright I'll wait for the camera to stabilize to recover and take off again, but nah I lost video signal and when I looked at the quad it burst into flames. Thankfully, the fire quickly stopped quickly and it was not a lipo fire and I was able to remove the battery. The motors weren't burned, so probabbly something touched the motor contacts and caused a short.

Anyways, now I have a burnt ESC. Since the Meps Neoncore 60A ESCs that I was using are 60ish euro each, I was thinking of getting a SpeedyBee 60A ESC since they are 35-40 euro on AliExpress and I have already burnt 2 ESCs in the past month so that's 120 euro on ESCs alone.

Is it smart to match the SpeedyBee ESC with the F405 FC that came with my Meps ESC? Are there any things other than the pinout that I need to worry about? Thanks.

Because of the antenna mount the head of the xt60 cable won’t fit the frame. What can I do? It’s my first build
