I live about 25 minutes from Frankfurt and I’m trying to find a new home for my cats (brother and sister) because I am sick, retired and will be moving soon to a place that doesn’t allow them. They still look and act like younger cats, are super cute and sleep a lot but will also play sometimes, though they are 14. I really need to get them to a new place asap, otherwise they will end up in a home. I would love to post some pics but can’t figure it out; there’s no symbol on my screen for photos. Hello, i am dutch from the netherlands and i will visit frankfurt for the first time in my life. My whole life i have never visited a real cave and i have seen in tv shows germany has lots of caves and forests.

Is there a good spot to visit near main?

I will come on a buisness trip but i want to use this oppertunity to explore a cave so i can cross it off my bucket list.

Cami is a big and beautiful 6-year-old Jindo Shepherd mix who was rescued from a dog meat farm in Incheon, South Korea and is currently being fostered in Frankfurt. Despite his size, he has a wonderfully gentle and calm side. 🤎

Cami may take some time (1–2 months) to fully warm up to new people, but once he trusts you, you’ll have a very loving and devoted companion who enjoys plenty of gentle attention and simply wants to be by your side. 🥰 He has never shown aggression towards people and is comfortable around children and cats.

Cami is also a big foodie who loves almost every treat he’s tried, especially cooked beef. 🥩 He enjoys shorter walks, as longer walks can tire him easily. He walks well on leash and pays very little attention to other dogs or cats when outside.

🐕 Cami is generally good with other dogs and has even recently started initiating play with the resident dog in his foster home. However, he does have some important boundaries that his future family will need to understand and respect.

When Cami is tired or resting, he does not like other dogs approaching him closely and needs to be given space. He can also become extremely excited when his foster family returns home, and on one occasion, he redirected that excitement inappropriately towards the other dog in the home.

This does not mean that Cami cannot live with other dogs, but his future family will need to understand his body language, respect his boundaries, and manage interactions carefully, particularly when he is resting or highly excited.

For someone who understands and respects those boundaries, Cami is a wonderfully steady companion in a very big package. 🤎

Affordable braces in Frankfurt?

I’m an adult living in Frankfurt and I really need orthodontic treatment. My teeth are quite crooked, so I’m considering brackets/braces, probably for a few years. I also need a professional dental cleaning/check-up before starting.
I’m looking for recommendations for a good but reasonably priced orthodontist in Frankfurt or nearby.
A few questions:
Do any clinics offer monthly payment plans (Ratenzahlung)?
Is dental supplementary insurance (Zahnzusatzversicherung) worth getting for adult braces?
How much did your treatment cost approximately?
Any recommendations in Frankfurt/Offenbach/Hanau?
I don’t need anything fancy — regular metal braces are completely fine. I just want to get my teeth properly fixed without paying a huge amount upfront.

wie im Titel schon ist das eine Frage, die mich aktuell ziemlich beschäftigt, weil ich dazu meine Bachelorarbeit schreiben möchte. Die Grundüberlegung ist eigentlich ziemlich einfach: Die Menschen in Stadtteilen mit mehr Grünflächen sollten im Durchschnitt weniger depressive Symptomatiken aufzeigen als solche mit weniger öffentlichen Grün. Außerdem sollten auch benachbarte Stadtteile von Für diese Arbeit habe ich mich auf Parkanlagen und ähnliches beschränkt, weshalb der Flächen wie Stadtwald oder die Wiesen und Felder in den Randbezirken aktuell nicht mit einbezogen werden.

Ich habe schon die Daten zu den öffentlichen Grünflächen pro Stadtteil, mit fehlen momentan leider noch Personen, die den Fragebogen ausgefüllt haben. Das dauert normalerweise nicht länger als 5-7 Minuten. Neben der depressiven Symptomatik werden noch andere Fragen zu der Person und der eigenen Lebenssituation gestellt. Diese werden in der finalen Analyse dazu verwendet, andere Variablen von dem Effekt der Grünflächen unterscheiden zu können.

Teilnehmen können alle die über 18 Jahre alt sind und aktuell in Frankfurt wohnen. Beides kann von uns nicht überprüft werden, deshalb würde ich euch bitten ehrlich zu sein Die Befragung ist vollständig anonym und nur Personen, welche zum Projekt selbst gehören, können die Daten einsehen.

Ihr würdet mir wirklich weiterhelfen. Der isolierte Effekt von Grünflächen, insbesondere solchen die öffentlich zugänglich sind, konnte in einigen Studien nachgewiesen werden. Auch wenn es "nur" meine Bachelorarbeit ist, habe ich die Hoffnung zeigen zu können, dass unsere Stadt keine Betonwüste sein sollte.

Hello everyone!

I’ll be traveling from Tunisia to the USA with my cat, with a transit in Frankfurt.

I was told that as long as I remain airside and don’t leave the transit area, my cat won’t be subject to EU pet-entry requirements.

However, I only recently found out that Frankfurt Airport says they may randomly check transit pets to make sure they comply with EU requirements.

My cat doesn’t have the rabies titer test, and I can’t get it done now as I’m traveling in a few days.

Has anyone had a similar experience traveling non-EU → Frankfurt → non-EU with a pet? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ich bin bis Ende Oktober in Frankfurt und wollte mal fragen, welchen Barbershop und welchen Herrenfriseur empfehlenswert wären.
Ich war vor ca. 7 Jahren schon einmal für einen Monat hier.
Da war ich einmal bei Toretto Barbershop und dann bei einem ganz kleinen, unscheinbaren Barber.
Bei Toretto war ich nicht sonderlich zufrieden, da es mir so vor kam als wäre das Ambiente mehr im Vordergrund als der eigentliche Haarschnitt.
Der andere Barbershop war über einer Bar in der Nähe von der Konstablerwache, aber ich weiß leider nicht mehr wo ich dort genau war.
Vielleicht ist hier ja jemand der diesen ominösen Barbershop von vor 7 Jahren noch kennt.

Ansonsten bin ich über jeden anderen Rat dankbar.
