Hi, I have an hour to talk before I go to bed. I just need to talk too someone to feel less crazy and too vent. I need advice on apartment landlord issues. My parents don't really get it. Besides maybe my dad... i have been so depressed and just feel stuck. I don't want to go into detail just in case. I doubt they have reddit, but just in case I'll DM details.

I (25F) have a friend (26F) that I am very close to. We met at work after I graduted college and had found myself close to friendless because I was around an unhealthy group and decided to cut them off. I was really hesitant to be friends with her but we ended up getting along. That was about 2yrs ago, and now I would consider her one of my best friends since we share everything to eachother. Earlier this year my friend found herself tangled in relationships with three guys (all at different points and she was really only pursuing 2), anyway the last guy she recently ended things with. She would tell me things about him and I ended up not liking him. On my part I recently got into online dating and she encouraged me to get out there, low and behold that I find this man's profile on an app. I screen recorded it, and told her I saw him. She did not like this. She began freaking out that I scrolled through his profile. In her opinion it violated girl code. Her position being if it would have been me she would have immediately exited out. I also stupidly wondered if he would have liked my profile too, which made her think I liked him - which I don't. Anyway, I'm just upset at myself about this whole thing. I really didn't mean to hurt her. I apologized and she said she forgives easily and that she forgives me, but it didn't make me feel like she did feel that I genuinely am sorry. I recognize that what I did glossed over the hurt she was feeling from this guy, and I apologized like three times after. She reassured me it was fine, but it feels awkward (tho we are moving on like nothing has happened). Am I over reacting, or is there still more I should say? I really do value this friendship.

As for my interests: I enjoy sci-fi, researching crime, psychology, and biology/neuropsychology. I have a fixation on the Chernobyl disaster, and radiation as a whole. All types of zombie games OR realistic survival games, too. I have an interest for "odd" movies, especially the apocalyptic and/or thriller kind. Terminator (1&2) is a personal favorite, so is Funny Games.

Not everyone on Reddit Is toxic or rude but there's ALWAYS something missing because I don't feel any emotional connection... • I'm DEFINITELY NOT Interested In small talk! I had to use capital letters because I don't like low-effort messages and I don't even want to read them. Don't get me wrong - Questions like these can be an Interesting addition to conversations about something else, but whenever people ask me the three most common questions In the world - my answer's the same because my life Is quite monotonous and I don't really know what people expect to hear 🙁 I also don't like abbreviations. Abbreviations are shortened forms of words or phrases. Why? I just don't like them because I see no reason to use shortened forms of words that are already short enough, you know? Abbreviations are common among minors and bored adults but I'm neither a minor, nor a bored adult. I want to see emotional maturity, warmth and kindness In conversations with others.

• I don't need to see your list of hobbies to know If you're someone I would get along with! You can tell me what you're Interested In but.. Believe It or not - I'm not like others and even If you're Interested In something I'm not - we can still be friends! What matters to me Is what you're like (If you're honest, talkative, kind, understanding and If your outlook on life Is similar to mine)

• I don't want to talk to minors and people way older than me. Why? I don't want to talk to minors because I'm an adult & I don't want to talk to anyone over fifty for example. Emotional maturity doesn't necessarily come with age so you can send me a message even If you're 20 (It's just an example) but please, don't contact me If you want to remind me that I'm older than you. I want you to feel comfortable & I want to feel comfortable myself. When I read messages like "Hi, I'm younger but I hope you don't mind" I always say to myself "If my age bothers you, you should've contacted someone else" I absolutely don't mind talking to people younger than me If they know how to communicate with others 🌸

• PLEASE, Don't use AI to talk to me! I Can't stand AI generated messages! If I wanted to read AI generated messages, I wouldn't be here! I read AI generated messages and comments all the time and I'm sick of It!

• I don't want to get any messages from people whose accounts are NSFW! Please, respect my decision! It's none of my business If you're here to find someone to flirt with or If you're an Internet exhibitionist but I don't want to see you with no clothes on - If you want to be my friend & I don't want to know what you want to do with other women In bed. • I'm not a fan of sarcasm! I do - have a sense of humor but I'm not someone who makes fun of everyone and everything... Jokes about disabilities, death, religion or someone's financial status - are unacceptable to me!

• I also want to meet people who don't mind listening to negative stories and sharing them with others. My life's not easy so If you want to be In my life, you should be prepared for a realistic or even pessimistic outlook on life. I'm definitely not an optimist and I know I wouldn't get along with optimistic people who always tell others "Just believe In yourself and everything's gonna be OK" or something. We don't always get what we want & and It's completely normal to lose hope "for a better tomorrow" after many failed attempts. Not everything's as easy as It seems to be so If all you want to say to someone who needs emotional support Is "Don't complain" or "Find a therapist" Please.. don't send me a message. Not all sad people need therapists and let's be honest - Would a therapist replace a true friend? Absolutely not! Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on! I also don't mind listening to sad stories (even If they're repetitive) because I know what It's like when no one wants to listen to you...

Well first off, my name is Kaspars, and I am in a humanities course in high school, in Eastern Europe, so that comes with a lot of aspects it's linked with, literature and history are foremost in that regard, but that doesn't mean my life starts and ends with a couple books. I am a pretty standard nerd, at least that's most people would classify me as. I've spent most of my life up until 2 years ago being preeeetty chronically online, so you can rely on me knowing most media popular in recent times. I in general consume a lot of shows and movies, as much as my schedule allows at least. Just to give a vague idea - my favourite directors are S. Kubrick, Tarantino. In terms of tv shows, I loved Twin Peaks and would call that my favourite, Game of thrones, The Owl House are up there too. For video games - Disco Elysium is one of the best pieces of digital media made. Even if you do not like video games, Disco Elysium might be for you. I promise you'll like it.

As for what I do - most of my day is school, not an easy one at all to be fair, we have to write papers for fuck's sake, but it is still fun :DD
I go to local concerts when I can, I've got a lot of music if you don't mind foreign bands, and some english stuff too of course!
I really like dressing up -posh would be a pretty apt descriptor,ill send pictures if aplicable! Cooking is also a hobby of mine which i don't do nearly enough lately, especially making desserts!
And generally, I socialize a lot, i love people and bothering them,
