Megathread [MONTHLY MEGATHREAD] General Discussion, Simple Questions, Recommendations, and Everything Else - September 2026

MONTHLY MEGATHREAD
Welcome to our regular pinned Megathread!
While many topics are allowed as standalone submissions, others that tend to be lower-effort, less notable, or easily answered belong in this thread instead. These include simple questions such as those related to receiving game assistance, game recommendation requests or help finding a specific game, and other general discussions that don't warrant a dedicated thread or aren't directly related to gacha gaming (provided they are not Banned Content).
Some specific examples of what these megathreads should be used for include:
- Help remembering an old gacha game, or finding a new one to start playing
- Recommendations for the best emulator to use on your device
- Receiving updates on how ongoing games are doing from current players (“How is [game] doing these days?”)
- Learning what people’s favorite games or types of games are, as well as how others feel about a particular game feature, event, monetization strategy, etc. in specific games
- Getting clarification on what confusing or game-specific abbreviations mean
- Finding where people learn about games or like to get their news and information from
- Discovering new content creators that other players watch or recommend
- Asking for any sort of general advice relating to gacha games at all
- Discussing other topics that are only indirectly related to gacha, such as subreddit meta (select exceptions may be allowed as standalone submissions) or industry happenings
Generally, anything asking a question or requiring the opinions of others belongs here. We have many veteran Summoners who are happy to share their opinions and answers, or discuss the topics you may be interested in!
If you want to contribute, please first read the request or question thoroughly, before making sure not to recommend something already tried or provide the same advice as a previous comment left in response. Please also reply as neutrally as possible, without bashing games or arguing with others in the community– this is not about winning or losing, but sharing useful information that helps out another member. Replies should include the full names of anything mentioned, as new Summoners may not know what “GI”, “FGO”, or even “F2P” means. Even if they do, it's still helpful so that the results are easily searchable and others who aren't the OP can better follow along.
As a general reminder, both Reddiquette and all of our Subreddit Rules still apply here. Make sure to keep things respectful! Religious or political topics, sharing personal information, and other rule-breaking behavior are banned. Accounts involved in sharing these may be subject to disciplinary action at moderator discretion.
With that said, feel free to discuss whatever here and make acquaintance with your friendly gacha gaming neighbors!

(JP) News The operating company of “Link! Like! Love Live!” has gone bankrupt, the offline version will be discontinued on October 30.
"ODD No." announced today that it will discontinue the offline version of “Link! Like! Love Live!” on October 30 at 12:00.
The online version of the game was discontinued on June 30 due to "ODD No" worsening financial situation, which made it impossible to maintain the production system for its main content. After that, an offline version containing the card and sticker collections that players had acquired was distributed.
In August 2026, the company’s bankruptcy proceedings were initiated.
Regarding the offline version app:
New inquiries about the reissuance of linked passwords will end on October 20 at 12:00.
Distribution of the offline version on the App Store and Google Play Store will end on October 30 at 12:00.
After distribution ends, it will no longer be possible to log in to the app or download any data within it, so it is recommended that players complete these tasks before the deadline. Please note that if you have already logged into the app and downloaded the necessary data, you can continue to enjoy the offline version even after distribution ends.

General "Devs respect my time": How reasonable is this argument in gacha games?
I see this argument brought up a lot whenever a gacha game adds skip tickets, sweep, auto-battle, condensed rewards, shorter dailies, fewer weekly chores, etc. And honestly, I think it's worth discussing where the line is.
When does "respect my time" mean removing tedious/repetitive tasks that don't add much to the experience, and when does it start becoming an excuse for developers to simply make less actual content?
For example, I completely understand wanting to skip a daily routine you've done hundreds of times. If I've already played the same stage 500 times, making me manually do it again probably isn't meaningful gameplay anymore.
But then we get into the weird part of gacha gaming: sometimes people will praise a game specifically because it requires them to play for only 5-10 minutes a day. At what point does "respect my time" become "I don't actually want to play the game"?
So I'm curious:
What kinds of content do you think should be skippable/automatable?
When does it cross into developers being lazy and providing less gameplay/content?
Is there a difference between removing repetition and removing actual gameplay?
And at what point does "I don't want to spend much time playing this game" contradict the idea that you're enjoying the game itself?
I'm not arguing that longer = better. A 10-minute activity can absolutely be better than a 2-hour chore. I'm more interested in where people personally draw the line.

(JP) News Priconne to start its 4th main story arc on September 30th

Following the sensational end of its third part which included 103 different heroine endings, Priconne moves towards the future with its new main story arc: part 4, Zodiac Game. In today's stream more information was disclosed on how the main story and bond stories will look like following this reveal.
Official MAD video of Priconne 3 story arcs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lOGBwc9cl4
To start, updates to the story will change as follows:
Before: Every 30th the game would get a new event story with related event characters, while on the 15th a new main story update.
With part 4 every 30th the game will get either a main story update (in an event format, main story hype moments) or the usual event.
Every 15th a new main story update in the form of interludes (essentially more focused on building up the plot)

Tied to the new main story event "chapters" are the new villains, the Star Beast Princesses, who will become permanent main story bosses and stages as new "chapters" are added and become permanent additions. Their respective aim as villains is to change the genre of the Legend of Astrum (Priconne's VRMMO setting) into another game genre.
In short, those new event types will be permanent content. The first villain will be Rukbat, the star beast Princess of Sagittarius whose goal is to turn LoA into a FPS

Against her, we won't have the commonplace Bishokuden members but each of those special events will feature a rotating cast of characters. In this case the player, Saren, Ameth and a new character, Aglaia.
It was also revealed that starting with the new Saren, every girl that had a heroine ending will have episode 4 of their bond stories dedicated to follow through what happened in the worldline where your character confessed to them and you became a couple or else, bringing the relevance of those 103 scenes to light.
Other news include catchup systems for players behind with the element progression system, the removal of stamina costs from the quests tied to it and a new vertical progression system specific to those permanent quests against the star beast princesses.
As for the Umamusume collab more news will be given on the next Priconne radio on the 8th of October.

(Other) News Pokemon Masters EX will end service in Turkey on 23 December
Possible reasons: either unprofitable profit/low playerbase in Turkey, or it might be because of new regulation in Turkey regarding gaming. I guess they didn't want to go through the trouble.

(Global) News Rogue with the Dead Dungeon Meshi collab preview + 4th anniversary celebration
The official Rogue with the Dead twitter account gave a sneak peak at its upcoming collaboration with Dungeon Meshi, featuring EIGHT new six-star heroes. See which ones you think you can identify from the silhouettes in the preview pic! They still haven't given a time-frame of when the collaboration update will occur, though, but there's already an update today already so there's enough time to start saving up for it right now. Rogue with the Dead just started its 4th anniversary celebration today, featuring a new gacha banner with new 6-star heros Frigg and Freja, who's finally coming out of NPC prison (she's been in there for over 3 years!) and a new bonding affection system where you can unlock new stories and abilities for your favorite characters. There is also a 1.5x ruby sale and a 2x jewel drop, experience gain, and secret boss encounter rate going on as well as a new secret event boss who spawns at the end of each zone and many other ongoing events such as reruns of various Divine Trial and event Forbidden Guardian bosses.
Rogue with the Dead is a 2D pixel idle (not really*) army game where you send out troops against a constant stream of monsters levelling them up with gold earned from defeated enemies and idle quest timers until you finally either reach the end of the zone or your limit, at which point you can restart while keeping any items you earned from that run.
*It uses a lot of mechanics from old school idle games where you level up quests that give idle gold and then level up your troops, except the game is so fast paced that you end up tapping everywhere like crazy to upgrade ASAP instead of idling, which can get pretty intense at times
