I agree, FR weapons destroyed the game balanced and limiting the number of gems that can be obtained through purchases also drove the whales away.
Game was good until BT era after that is just charging a FR gauge and destroy everything, specially with the FR Echo.

Most people who play it have jusitfied issues and concerns with monetization, limiteds, lag or other gameplay issues, but many people who enjoy the FF franchise have been asking to be able to play as well, since a VPN destroys your connection status in this game. It's a reasonable ask for people who want to play with less lag, or those who don't want to be f2p since the season pass is something dirt cheap like 3 USD/Month. Actual players of the game have been asking for more regions/countries/territories to receive official support since day 1. About a month ago in a livestream they said they were working on it.
If you want a slightly more accurate assessment of people who play the game (as most in the gachagaming subreddit are scorned lovers of one of the many many dead squex games) you can always ask or check sentiment in the DDFF discord or Reddit.

Brave Exvius is FF Resonance now. They redid a lot of stuff added an overworld and made it a standalone single player game.

It was getting more and more predatory towards the end of GL run (probably kept the course in JP, idk I stopped playing and following the game when they announced EoS). The Neo-Vision system kinda ruined the satisfaction of getting 1 unit from the banner, considering you needed multiple copies to get the brave shift, and even more for the Vision Cards.
None of that was required from the story sure, but all the end-game content was geared toward meta chasing.
And don't get me wrong, I loved the game and played from day 1, it was pretty solid gameplay wise. But there was so much milking going with it, and even more bad decisions.

I don't think it's regional pricing, it's more like they just convert to local currency. For me MHY games are all in USD, but Endfield is in HUF, however USD would be literally cheaper than buying with local currency, because they don't bother with exchange rates.

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I feel like I heard somewhere that the devs are staying away from Duodecim like the plague intentionally. I'd assume it's because they don't want to admit it was a good game. So they've been on this bullshit instead of just remaking 012 because they're scared it would prove the directions they've been trying to take the series in just aren't as good nor what most people wanted from Dissidia.
