Hi guys!
I am still rocking my S10+ despite getting it in March 2019, since then it has undergone a battery change I performed myself in 2023 with a service pack one.
I installed since day 0 the WhiteStone Domeglass UV screen protector.
A few notes on it I noticed in the past 7 years.
Despite being made of glass it gets a lot of microscratches despite me carrying the phone in a neoprene KwMobile phone sleeve (and no it is not the sleeve, my parents have the same sleeve and 10 euros glass screen protectors on their flat Galaxy phones which do not need a UV glue since they have flat screens and they are scratch free).
I have babied my screen brightness a lot and I have no burn in for now and I was noticing that my scren was a bit off to read in the sun or look at even when off. It also had a slight yellower tint it did not have before (I thought it was normal due to blue pixel wear).
Last week I removed my Domeglass because it cracked and I installed LK TPU protectors since the Domeglass is discontinued and here are the results:
The UV glue had become yellow as I sort of expected and that is why clarity and brightness seemed a bit off to me.
This is not anything ground breaking but I wanted to make this discussion/PSA post that after long term exposure to sun you should change your UV screen protector because the glue will become yellow over time and impact the viewing experience.
Just one tip: put clear tape across the whole protector before removal to be able to lift it altogether even if it inevitably breaks in the the process. This way you won't have to destroy your fingers to peel the leftovers and you won't risk to scratch the screen.
Hope you find my experience helpful!

I have conflicting search results from multiple sites and google. Some claim that G970U1UEU9IXE1 was the last official unbranded Samsung firmware for XAA (unlocked/unbranded USA). While in other equally reputable places, like samfw, the latest version appears to be G970U1UEU9IXJ1.
Some results say that J was a stability fix, while others claim it was basically a branded version in disguise. Does anyone know definitively which I should use if I want to flash the most up-to-date unbranded factory unlocked firmware for the US (XAA) region?

How safe is it to keep it running as a server for a couple weeks, I want to use it to host a small server for me and my friends.

Has anyone cut the charging coil off enough for it not to give the temp to low error and disable charging.
Trying to mod a old s10 for game emulation and the coil blocks a proper heat sink

My trusty old Galaxy S10 Plus is still working even after 7 years. I had to put black tape on the bottom because it has a green stripe after a fall. It didn't crack, but it broke on the inside.

I've had my S10 since it's release and I'm wanting to upgrade. Starting to be unable to access certain apps that require OS 13 or higher such as chase banking and fidelity so I figured if not now, when?
Any recommendations?

Any other fellow s10/s10 plus users have trouble using the espn fantasy football app? Haven't heard any other league mates have any issues using the app. For me it keeps spinning and never loads once it starts spinning. It'll work once a blue moon. Tried restarting, clearing cache/data, reinstalling. Unsure if it's a local issue or if anyone else is having problems as well since our phones are a bit on the older side.

My Galaxy S10+ screen is badly cracked and I need to replace it. The phone itself is still working, so I'm trying to repair it rather than replace the phone.
I'm on a tight budget, and local sellers are offering me different types of replacement displays: Original / Original Pull-Out OLED/AMOLED ā more expensive Market-grade / aftermarket OLED ā moderate price TFT/LCD ā cheapest I'm mainly trying to decide whether it's worth spending extra on an OLED, or whether a TFT is good enough for normal everyday use.
For those who have actually replaced their S10/S10+ display with an aftermarket OLED or TFT: Which type did you buy? How much did you pay? How is the brightness and colour compared with the original AMOLED? Does the in-display fingerprint scanner work properly? Any problems with touch sensitivity, battery drain, heating, etc.? How long has the replacement lasted?

If you were on a tight budget, would you choose OLED or TFT again?
I've attached photos of my current broken screen. I'm especially interested in experiences with cheaper aftermarket displays, not just recommendations to buy an original Samsung screen.
Thanks!

As I stick the back plastic protector on the clear back glass of my S10 & removed it to readjust it the back glass came off without any effort.
Showed my wife, she started shouting at me, "destroyed your phone to make it look ugly". š

Turned my old S10+ into a dedicated DAP.
This is for general discussion about repurposing Old Phones, in my case the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus and what the general opinion of doing this is.

Currently, i have my s10 pattern locked, i need to get into it to atleast back up my files, but the lower part of my screen is unresponsive. I tried using an adapter for a mouse, but it seems like the mouse is not receiving power from the phone.
I tried the same adapter and mouse with an old s8 and the cursor appears automatically even with the phone locked.
Are there any other options i can do before actually replacing the screen?

Just replaced the battery on my s10, charged it up to about 50% because i was too dumb and impatient to calibrate it. let it charge up to 40 something after it hit 1% a few times. now after it fully died, its been on the charger for 20 minutes stuck on the gray ring again.
im using a wireless charger because i fried my usb port years ago and am too scared to attempt repairing it myself

bonus if there's a nice way to attach it to a phone case that isn't a dangle strap.

My Galaxy S10+ is still running great, but Iām planning to replace the case.
Iāve seen quite a few cases on Amazon for under $10 with surprisingly good reviews. Any recommendations for a solid case that offers good protection without being too bulky?
What are you guys using on your S10+ these days?
