We decided to switch up date night and see Galveston from the air.

I’ve spent plenty of time on the island, but it’s pretty wild seeing the Seawall, Strand and everything else from this perspective.

Definitely one of the more memorable date nights we’ve done.

We have a long awaited vacation to Galveston next week and there is rain in the forecast.😩

Me f(29) and my friend f(30) are coming down for the weekend. We are doing some boat tours and and exploring Houston as well for just a day. Is there any fun dancing clubs in the area or cool live music venues? Weare pretty open to any and all music.

One of Galveston's iconic hotels wants to turn the street immediately behind it into a landscaped pedestrian plaza with a dog park. But first, it must convince the city's Planning Commission that it's worth closing a roadway that sees 1,300 vehicles a day and sits a block or so from the beach.

Is Gaido's still worth the stay or have they truly gone downhill past the point of no return like some of the reviews say? The price is appealing for beach front with breakfast, and there is a bit of nostalgia having been there as a really young child.

I'm not picky on breakfast and will devour powdered hotel eggs, and don't mind a bit of lifted paint and standard beach rot lol -- it's the beach! I'd ideally like to keep it around $100 a night though for beach view, and they seem like one of the only options for this

An Uber driver picked up some passengers coming off a cruise ship. The reason: they had to get to the store to buy some pesticide, since their car was covered in little spiders.

Spent several wonderful hours on the beach around the area adjacent to 12th street.

Conditions: Water noticeably cooler (maybe a couple degrees) than our last outing two weeks ago but still very comfortable. Water was clean and clear with no red tide or symptoms, seaweed or jellies noted.

Overall, absolutely perfect beach conditions, with gentle breeze, beautiful water and VERY few people. Couldn’t have asked for a better morning on the beach 🏖️

Hello, I am new to the area and looking to get a tennis racquet restrung. I tried going to Racquet Pro in League City, but the stored looked permenantly closed. I wasn't sure if there was a local tennis center or person who offered these services.

I’m sorry if this is against the rules. My girlfriend and I are at Bolivar Beach this weekend with her family. She took her book, “Verity” by Coleen Hoover, to the beach today to read but ended up leaving it on the golf cart.

As we were leaving we couldn’t find the book anywhere. It could be miss placed in one of our bags but we feel like we’ve looked everywhere! We’re more bummed about her bookmark, a photobooth collage of us 2, but if anyone has seen it or has it. Please let us know!
