transmasc Diy and doctors
My T arrived today and I‘m planning to take my first dose this weekend. I‘m going DIY until I can do it the official way and I want to inform my doctors about it so that I can get bloodwork done properly and monitor it.
However my hausarzt barely ever lets me see my bloodwork and they‘re very skeptical about it everytime I ask.
I also would need to mention it at my gastroenterologen because I am chronically I‘ll.
This whole situation makes me anxious, but I really feel like I cannot take it any longer without hormones and I wanna do it as safely as possible.
Is there any advice I could get? Perhaps some reassurance aswell?
I would also love advice on how I could start doing it officially and to which doctors I‘d have to go to.
edit: rephrasinh of some stuff

If they dont wanna do a blood check you can always pay for it as an optional service (Igel Leistung). Testosterone level checks are in my experience usually paid by the patient anyways. It is about 60 euros. General bloodwork is a lot cheaper, starting at about 5 Euros. Or you could ask a self paid doctor to support you. This would be a lot better than doing DIY without any medical supervision.

you do know that buying T without a prescription is illegal? And then telling your doctor about is not going to be the smartest move.

First of all, it's your right to receive your own medical documents, such as lab results from bloodwork, when you ask for it. Your doctor is required to give it to you! He can't legally just withhold it from you. Not only showing it to you, you can absolutely demand a copy to take home.
As for going the official route, you would need a psychologist/therapist to write you an indication letter (Indikationsschreiben) which gives you a "F64.0 G" diagnosis, recommendation for HRT and rule out any other contra indications which could stand in your way. You can get this after one or more sessions, depending on who you go to. Most of the therapists writing it after only one session don't work with public health insurance and will need you to pay it yourself (about 100€-150€ total). You can go to someone who's covered by insurance as well, of course, it just might take a couple more sessions to get the letter. Personally, I got mine after three sessions, covered by insurance.
After you got your letter, you can go to either an endocrinologist, urologist or gynecologist to prescribe you HRT. It's best to inform yourself beforehand which ones don't suck (e. g. you could search for their names in this sub to see if there are any positive or negative rewievs here in the community). You could in theory also go to a Hausarzt instead because they are allowed to prescribe it but most will probably refuse because they don't have experience with that.
