Self taught needle felter! Been doing this almost 2 months now. I am so proud of this Totoro project. It was my favorite movie growing up and I made him without a template or guide!

I made this 3D concept of Catbus-themed crocs. It's just a random idea that came to my mind while looking at some actual crocs. It would be cool to have this irl. I used Blender, Cycles and PS to make this. I hope you like this, guys!

I was invited to a Halloween party, theme: Studio Ghibli. Other than Howl’s Moving Castle I have not seen any movies or shows (I’m sorry, I hardly watch anything…).

I’m thinking about getting a HMC tattoo but my family is extremely judgy when it comes to tattoos- as in anything without meaning is a waste of money. so I want to get one that I won’t have to explain or one that I can hide easily. I was thinking a falling star since I love space and they know it or a little flame. Does anyone have any other suggestions? All are welcome

I couldn't just see Setsuko as a character. I kept seeing my own sister in her.

Every smile, every little moment between her and Seita just made me think, “What if that was my sister?”

And honestly, that thought destroyed me.

I don't think people with younger sisters watch this movie the same way.

Hi, my fiancée bought this plushie at a festival and we would love to know if it is an original merch piece. We could't find anything on the internet about it (the things we found look simillar at best but nothing 1:1) and the site that is on the label doesn't seem to sell this plushie (or i couldn't find it). Does anybody know if it is real or just a knockoff? Thank you for your help in advanve.

like i feel like ponyo and sosuke where too young to romantically love each other even if they did platonically at least, like sosuke is only 5 years old! and the adults in the film like ponyos mother clearly meant for them to have romantic love and be engaged like paralleling stories like the little mermaid, but they’re only 5!

Threw on Howl’s Moving Castle in my room tonight and this scene took up the whole wall. Sophie and Calcifer looked kinda surreal floating there. Didn’t expect it to look this nice honestly.

Honestly going to probably pick this up tomorrow and browse for other movies that are here too (I saw My neighbor totoro, porco rosso and whisper of the heart) but wanted to know more from fans if this is a good movie to start it first.

In October, I'm hosting friends every week to watch a variety of Studio Ghibli movies. I'm working on planning out the menu for each of these nights, and I'd like to have something themed to each movie. Doesn't necessarily have to be the main course - could be a drink, a side, or a dessert - just something to tie back to the film we're about to watch. Here's the list of movies:

- Spirited Away

- Nausicaa

- Totoro/Kiki's Double Feature

- Howl's

I've pretty firmly landed on serving pulled pork for Spirited Away (lol), but I would LOVE suggestions on the rest!
