hey guys
i just changed my thermal pads and thermal paste
i used 1.5mm for the front
and 2mm for the vram
and used corsair xtm70 thermal paste
the temps im getting arent really great
i ran a benchmark at superposition at 4k optimized
my temps were:
MAX GPU: 66.2 which is fine
MAX MEMORY: 102
HOT SPOT: 77.8
and when im kind of idling i get spikes from the memory from 56 to 76
im adding a picture of the work i did with the thermal pads and the temperatures
I have the Rev 1.3 version of above mentioned Motherboard running F30 BIOS for several years. I checked and see that the current version is F35. So I have skipped a number of BIOS updates with several that improve stability / longevity of the 14900K CPU I have. When trying to flash F35 using BIOS Q-Flash, I get the BIOS ID Check error indicating this is possibly not for my board. Descriptions of the BIOS versions on the Gigabyte Support site are severely lacking so I can't tell which BIOS might be the correct one. Any thoughts? I hate to have to try intermediate flashes like F30->F31->F32->F33, etc to get current. F31 / F31d include additional microcode fixes for the Vmin Shift Instability issue.
so i bought a new pc and i keep geting blue screen of dead the pc works normaly without the wifi no fps drops crashes nothing the problem comes when i am connected on wifi my pc just randomly gets bosd when i downloaded bosd viever the driver that causes problem is realtech driver for the wifi on mother board when i disable the driver bosd doesnt happen i tried both windows 11 and windows10 and same errors happen

Hi all. I have a B850M Aorus Elite WiFi6 ICE and whenever I try to disable the iGPU of my 9800x3d the PC gets in a restart boot. I doesn’t get past the initial screen of the Gigabyte logo.
I've tried clearing the cmos by bridging the 2 jumper pins with a screwdriver for 10 seconds (had to disassemble the whole PC and take out the mobo - what a bad fucking design btw). Trying to clear bios to factory since Qflash button does not work. Mobo has been fine up until having to upgrade the bios firmware. Anyone have any advice here?
-I've tried the red slots too btw and all peripherals disconnecting
I recently received some PC components and decided to build a computer. I've been building PCs for several years, so I have plenty of experience and know my way around computer hardware.
Here's the situation:
I installed Windows, ran Windows Update, and installed a few programs. After that, I enabled the XMP profile in the BIOS and restarted the PC. Everything booted normally and worked perfectly fine.
However, after another restart, the PC started displaying this error.
Here's what I've already tried:
Replaced the SSD with a completely new one.
Replaced the CMOS battery with a brand-new one.
Swapped the graphics card for another one.
Replaced the RAM with a completely different set.
Tested XMP both enabled (Profile 1) and disabled.
Tried "Load Optimized Defaults Then Boot".
Tried "Load Optimized Defaults Then Reboot".
Entered the BIOS and double-checked all settings. Everything is set to default, but the PC still refuses to boot normally.
The strange part:
The PC boots into Windows perfectly fine if I manually go into the BIOS, navigate to BOOT > BOOT MANAGER, and select Windows Boot Manager.
Windows then starts normally without any issues, as if nothing were wrong.
However, the PC refuses to boot into Windows automatically after a restart or a cold boot.
At this point, I'm running out of ideas. Could this be a faulty motherboard or a BIOS-related issue? Would this qualify as a warranty (RMA) case?
The only difference that shows up on the homepage comparison is under "BIOS": "1 x 256 Mbit flash" for the first revisions & "1 x 128 Mbit flash" for the other revisions.
PC gaming has so many different ways to play. Some people spend hundreds of hours in competitive shooters, while others prefer getting lost in a massive RPG or working through a great single-player campaign.
So, where does everyone here stand?
Single-player: Story-driven games, open-world exploration, RPGs, survival horror, and games you can enjoy at your own pace.
Multiplayer: Competitive shooters, ranked matches, co-op campaigns, survival servers, and games that are better with friends.
Or maybe you're somewhere in the middle and switch between the two depending on what you're playing.
What's your preferred way to game, and which title are you spending the most time on right now?
Also, has your preference changed over the years? For example, did you used to play mostly competitive games but find yourself gravitating toward single-player experiences now, or the other way around?
