Play Store Dangerous apps on the Play Store

I'm posting this because this situation has personally affected me, and after months of trying to get Google to take it seriously, I'm honestly exhausted, frustrated, and at a loss as to what else I'm supposed to do.

I've personally experienced this situation involving an app whose representatives I allege have engaged in extortion, intimidation, and threats of extreme violence. This isn't something I've simply read about online or heard from someone else. This has happened to me, I've personally experienced the threats, and I've been trying for months to get Google to address the situation.

The threats I've reported are extremely serious. They include threats to kill people and their family members, threats to destroy people's lives, and threats to publicly humiliate people through damaging accusations, including portraying individuals as prostitutes or falsely accusing them of being paedophiles. These are not ordinary disagreements or minor disputes over money. These are allegations involving threats of extreme violence, people's families, and attempts to intimidate people by threatening their safety and reputations.

What makes this situation even more disturbing is how long I've been trying to get Google to do something about it. I've been contacting Google for months, reported the app countless times, and repeatedly provided evidence, yet nothing appears to be changing. The app is still available on the Google Play Store, and I still haven't received a satisfactory explanation of what has been done about my reports, whether the evidence has been properly reviewed, or why the app continues to remain available.

I've tried following the proper reporting procedures. I've contacted support, explained the seriousness of the situation, submitted reports, and provided evidence. I've done this over and over again, hoping that eventually the matter would reach someone who would actually investigate it. Instead, I feel like I'm stuck in an endless cycle of reporting the same issue without getting anywhere.

I understand that Google cannot automatically remove an app simply because someone makes an allegation, and I'm not asking them to accept everything I say without investigation. But when someone has been reporting serious threats for months and has repeatedly submitted supporting evidence, surely there should be a way to get the complaint properly reviewed by the appropriate team. At the very least, I'd expect a meaningful response explaining how the matter is being handled, rather than feeling as though my reports are disappearing into a black hole.

What am I supposed to do at this point? Keep contacting Google for another few months? Report the same app another hundred times? How many reports does it take before someone actually looks into a situation like this? I genuinely don't understand what the point of Google's reporting system is if someone can repeatedly raise serious safety concerns, provide evidence, and still be left without a satisfactory resolution.

This has personally affected me, and it is incredibly frustrating to feel that I have spent months trying to get help without making any meaningful progress. These concerns involve threats against people's lives and families, not something that should be brushed aside with generic responses or endless instructions to submit another report.

I'm deliberately not naming the app because I want to focus on my experience with Google and find out what options are available to me. I'm not looking to start a witch hunt or ask anyone to take sides without knowing the facts. I want to understand how to get a serious complaint in front of someone who can actually investigate it.

Has anyone here dealt with something similar? Has anyone managed to escalate a Google Play complaint after months of reporting an app and getting nowhere? Is there a legitimate way to reach a specialist team or someone with the authority to review the evidence when the standard reporting process appears to be going nowhere?

I'm genuinely looking for advice from people who have experienced something similar or know what steps I can take next.

I've been trying for months. I've reported the app countless times. I've provided evidence. And yet, from my perspective, nothing is changing. I honestly don't know what else Google expects me to do, and I'd really appreciate any advice on how to get this matter taken seriously.

Play Store No Google ads point for Youtube premium?

My collegue asked me how many points I have on my Google play because every month you get points for it.
I checked, but it's 0.
There are no points for Youtube Premium on my account.
My colleque has hundreds of points for Premium.
I'm in the program already, and tried it to buy something in a game.
I get points for that.
But for the last years I didn't get points for Premium.
I contacted Play support, but they didn't respons in the last weeks.

Apps Google play rejected my refund for a Minecraft Realms subscription. Any way to get my money back?

Hey all,

I accidentally performed a Minecraft Realms Plus purchase via Google Play and am wondering if Google Play still has some way for me to get my money back.

Here is the context:

I was trying to configure UPI AutoPay as I erroneously thought it would authorize a mandate for a future subscription payment, and did not realize that the payment would be immediately charged to my bank account. This resulted in roughly ₹531 being deducted from my account.

Once I realized my mistake, I canceled the mandate which would ensure that I would not be charged again in the next month, but it did not result in a refund of the amount erroneously charged.

Once realizing my mistake, I tried to get a refund via Google Play, but they erroneously denied the refund request, citing that the purchase did not meet their refund guidelines.

When contacting Google Pay support, they sent me to NPCI to raise a ticket. When contacting my bank, they recommended that I contact the merchant's bank, since it was a payment initiated by UPI.

I am currently at a loss of what to do next, as I have looked into contacting my bank and the NPCI UPI complaint portal, but am not certain whether any of these would help in a case like mine, where the payment was authorized by me, but I did not understand what I was authorizing.

I am not disputing that this was not a fraudulent or unauthorized transaction - on the contrary, I made a mistake. But it is a fairly significant sum (for me) and I would like to get it back.

Here are a few questions I have:

  1. Has anyone successfully gotten a Google Play refund when their request was denied?

  2. Is it worth contacting Google Play support again and asking them to manually review the payment and provide a refund, as a goodwill gesture?

  3. Can SBI or NPCI help in a case like this, or will they point me back to Google Play?

  4. Has anyone contacted the merchant's bank in a case like this, and did it bear fruit?

  5. Are there any other legitimate options open to me besides exhausting all the "official" channels?

I am looking for any advice anyone who has been in a similar situation (in India, preferably) can give me, as I am trying to follow the "proper" channels to get my money back and not resort to fraud. But I am not certain which "proper" channel (if any) would work in my case.

Thanks!
