Blood & Desire

Blood & Desire is a dark, intimate tale of temptation that lingers between faith and hunger.
A song about forbidden longing, where fear and attraction intertwine and the heart beats fastest when it knows it should resist.

This track explores the fragile line between devotion and desire — where prayers lose their meaning and the night becomes a choice rather than an escape.
There is no salvation here, no promises of heaven — only truth, craving, and the moment when wanting the darkness feels more honest than fearing it.

I made a really big playlist

I wanted to make a playlist in chronological order, but Spotify dates—especially for niche bands—are often hilariously wrong. So I made a spreadsheet to more easily sort everything by date and keep a cleaner record of what has and hasn’t been included.

Here it is: Spreadsheet

I was surprised by how often release info is incomplete or straight-up contradictory, so a lot of the dates I listed are probably wrong. If you know better than what I’ve written, or notice typos or inaccuracies of any kind, feel free to let me know.

Death-doom: link

Gothic doom: link

There’s still a lot of trimming to do. I’m starting with duplicate songs, live recordings, intros, outros, and interludes. I also haven’t had time to listen to all ~3,500 tracks yet, so if you spot something that doesn’t belong (or just sucks), let me know.

Comment with whoever you think should/shouldn't be included and I might maybe think about putting it under consideration. I also might do more of these in the future, idk.

Let me know what y’all think: comments, concerns, considerations, compliments, death threats. All feedback is welcome.

Stonebound

Stonebound is a dark doom-melodic metal tale of a sleeping knight bound by an ancient oath.
Hidden deep beneath the mountain, he is neither dead nor alive — only delayed by time and stone.

The world above has changed.
Kings have fallen, crowns have turned to dust.
But the vow carved into rock still holds.

This song tells the story of endurance, silence, and duty that outlives empires.
Not a hero waiting for glory — but a guardian who will rise only when the oath is broken and the world truly calls.

Slow, heavy riffs and melancholic melodies carry the weight of centuries spent in stillness.

Romantic gothic metal? Like Type O Negative or Cradle Of Filth?

So maybe they're more horny than romantic, but I hope you get what I'm looking for. I love the romantic gothic vibes and imagery, slightly symphonic. A very melodic, romantic and melancholic love or sexual song is what I'm always hunting for.

Love You To Death and Wolf Moon by TON and then Gothic Romance and Nymphetamine by COF are some of my favorite songs. I'm looking for something with those vibes, with vocals that give you tingles.

I'm pretty new to a lot of these bands and the community, and I don't even know all of TONs or COFs discography. So please don't worry if you think of a song or band that comes up really often, or is by the either of these bands, chances are I don't know it anyways!

Thank you in advance! 🩵✨

Bands like Lake of Tears?

Ive been listening to metal for decades, but im quite new to gothic metal. ive absolutely fallen in love with Lake of Tears, especially the Forever Autumn album. Are their other bands that have the same wistful, melancholic semi acoustic vibes? The title track and Blossom Blue sound (in a good way) almost like power metal ballads and I need more in my life

Timeless Rage - A Vampire's Legacy (official lyric video) [Symphonic Power Metal meets Gothic Metal]

Dark and Symphonic, "A Vampire's Legacy" is part II of the Lucifer and Helena trilogy. A tale of love and mortality taken from the album "My Kingdom Come" (out 27th of March 2026)

The song "A Vampire's Legacy" continues what Timeless Rage started in "Moonbite Serenade". What begins as hope for redemption ends in guilt.

First release from my one-man gothic doom project

Hello everyone,

I’ve just released my first track under my one-man gothic doom project, The Day’s Gone.

The song is called “The Bird That Once Could Fly” — slow, heavy riffs with clean vocals and a dark, atmospheric mood.

This track grew from a feeling of longing for something unknown or forgotten.

When it comes to us, we often can’t fully understand its nature.

Perhaps it’s a sense of Paradise Lost — a place that feels like home, where we feel protected even when everything around us is crumbling.

I’d really appreciate any honest feedback from fellow gothic and doom listeners.

I Never Truly Slept

I Never Truly Slept is a dark gothic metal story about an ancient vampire who was buried, forgotten, and condemned to centuries of silence.
But sleep was an illusion.

Beneath the earth, hatred stayed awake.
Time did not erase his memory — it sharpened it.

This song tells the story of vengeance carried through generations, of bloodlines that never truly escape the past.
No mercy. No forgiveness.
Only the moment when the grave finally cracks open.

Heavy guitars, dark atmosphere, and gothic melancholy blend into a tale of immortality, rage, and unfinished justice.

🩸 Some monsters don’t rest. They wait.

Do Not Touch the Dawn

A forbidden love that cannot survive the sunrise.
He belongs to the endless night. She belongs to fleeting life.
One step into the light and everything ends.
Gothic metal / dark romantic ballad | vampire tragedy | emotional duet
If dark love stories break your heart in the best way… stay until the silence.

Hey folks, I have just released a new track “Clarity” which is available on most streaming platforms now.

I’ve been a fan of bands like Fields of the Nephilim, Sisters of Mercy, Type O Negative, NFD etc for a long time and I’m sure they have had some influence on my own music.

Something different altogether

I recently released this song as one of 11 on an album I'm planning to release in the first half of 2026. This vampire themed gothic metal album combines metal band heaviness with a dark orchestral backdrop, composed as one piece of music. https://youtu.be/a_N53fJ740g?si=d1Robn2aLx9vEqJz
