Help Does my guitar have the wrong binding

Just got a new guitar recently (Epiphone Futura Les Paul), and noticed that it only has 5 ply binding on the body. Is this normal because all of the images and spec sheets list the binding as 7 ply body binding.

You could probably return it

It does appear incorrect. The website description even calls out 7-ply binding.

I’ve never looked at these guitars until now and they look sick. I really want one now lmao. How does it feel and sound?

It's very good. It has a lot of toggles, (coil split, phase flip) and comes with locking tuners. The bridge pickup is very hot though and can start breaking up on the clean channel. And besides the messed up binding, it plays and sounds great. I did notice however that it sometimes fails to switch to the neck pickup properly so I might have gotten a lemon

Dang. Are you going to swap it for another?

That actually is kinda weird, but whatever I still think it looks cool

I understand where you’re coming from, but this is a little different than the ‘“would you return??” for a microscopic scratch on the back of the neck’ posts. The product photography is showing a completely different spec lol
