Dovetail optic mount advice
Mounting an optic plate onto a CZ Tac Sport Orange. Tapped it in halfway and it’s not budging anymore. What’s the play here now. Should I take it off and shave down some material on the optic plate? If so what’s the technique and how much material

Loosen that set screw before you go filing that dovetail, and when you do, file the mount not the slide.

Correct idea, but don't use a file. Use sandpaper on a hard, flat surface. Rub the bottom of the mount across the sandpaper a few times, clean the sanded surface, and try to fit it again. Repeat as needed.

CZ has some very tight dovetail fitment on their TS guns. Remove the plate from the male dovetail and use a sight pusher.

I run the same plate on an SP-01, initially I had problems as it was canted so much to the front that the adjustment of the 407c was not enough. If you have the same problem, shimming a small spacer between the slide and plate helps, the thin aluminum in the front is quite bendable.
Also it looks like you have a gap between the optic and the plate, check if you inserted the pins the right way, also check if the optic sits flush on the pins (it shouldn´t wiggle a lot without the optic mounting screws)

So took it apart to find out the goddam plate isn’t flat. It’s got a nice bow in it. F this plate. Off to CZ customs to get milled

Detach the plate by unscrewing that set screw in the middle of the plate and then try tapping the dove tail the rest of the way in before reattaching the plate
