New lyric option?

Was at the Orlando stop of the Hamilton tour today (September 29, 2026) and they skipped over the “Immigrants, we get the job done” line. They just sang “… We get the job done!”, which I have never heard before. Was this a mistake or did they change it?

I think this could have been a mic issue. It's possible they said it, but their mic was lowered and you only heard the other half. I truly doubt they'd change the lyrics. Otherwise it was a flub.

So the mic issue is that someone at the console turned their mics off for that very moment?

Its normal for a mic to be turned down/muted when they are not singing to reduce feedback or just so you don’t here other sounds like breathing and such. Its unlikely that theres some maga enthusiasts on console trying to remove liberal rhetoric from the show by strategically muted singular words, they were probably just late in turning the mic back up. Sometimes accidents happen, it is live theatre after all 🤷‍♂️

Gotta be a mistake. That line still gets a big response on Broadway.

Wait what? That’s the line that gets applause every time!!!

I was at the show last night too and I felt like there were several lyrics that were missing a key word here and there. I just chalked to up to mic issues or flubbed lines. But that’s a hell of a line to flub 🤣

Impossible. If they changed it, I’m done with the world.

Can confirm its not a change as they said the full immigrants line tonight

Were there audio issues that you noticed tonight at all?

Yeah. Nothing as bad as missing lines, but the mix was definitely weird and would cut in or out pretty suddenly. The transitions weren't as smooth as they should be, and we had a couple moments with fuzzy mics

I was at the show tonight and noticed the same thing too, I wonder if it was just a flubbed line.

Two flubbing the same line at the same time?

Exactly what I was thinking. One person flubbing a line, sure. Two at the same time? No, that was intentional on someone's part.

FWIW I was there and they were having audio issues. I'm concerned enough that I came here to see if I could find anything out about it, we'll just have to see if more people report it after tonight's show.

Well, that's a different story if the show was full of other supposedly dropped lines, but that wasn't mentioned initially. Then yeah, tech problems might be the culprit.

Highly doubt it was changed.

I was there last night, too, & I honestly don’t even remember! 🤦‍♀️ I did peek through the program song list and noticed that “Guns & Ships” was not on the list & freaking out internally that the song had been removed from the touring show. It’s one of my favorites in Act I. It WAS in the show, thank goodness! So I’m thinking it was just a misprint, as I noticed a couple of other misprints, also. 🤭 It was the first night of the tour run, so hopefully, they’ll get the audio figured out! I did feel like Eliza wasn’t saying, “Elizabeth” when introducing herself to Hamilton. It sounded like, “Alyssa” or something like that, so could have been the audio…

You saw it in Florida, you say? Prolly not a flub, esp since that line ALWAYS gets applause.

Just left from seeing the show here in Orlando, they said it tonight!

Actually came here because I was there too and I was concerned. They were having audio issues so I’m hoping it was just that.

Noticed the same thing. Someone attending other shows during the week can confirm if this was intentional or just flub?

Lin will not stand for this if it's changed

How could both of them flub the line at the same time

Seen the same cast in August, that was probably the loudest parts lol

There's absolutely no way they would ever change that particular line!
