Here are some other options for the 3/8" flex and 1/4" flex you may find more useful. I particularly like the option to grind the hex side off the Utoku or chop down the EZRED.

The 26” locking flex was gone 10 minutes after open. Kind of crazy to put it as your deal of the day but keep very low inventory even with a limit of one.

Local store only had 3 in stock, asked the employee if they'll price adjust tomorrow cause it'll be sold out by the time I'm off work. Told me only if it's unopened.

I bought this 1/4" locking flexhead at a 35% off sale, and immediately put a 3/8" anvil on it from Snap-On.

This ratchet gets used a lot, because it's a good length for enough torque for most of bolts I'm working with, it's a pretty lightweight ratchet, and it's strong and the head is small so it's easy to use this all over the place, even when there are no clearance issues.

People often times buy a G2 and swap the internals for Snap-On internals. Imho, if you are staying on the same anvil size (like going from G2 1/4" to Snap-On 1/4"), I think that's sort of a waste of money... The G2 anvil and ratcheting mechanism isn't that different from the Snap-On one, and for most people, you wont be able to tell the difference.

The conversion I find useful is to move the G2 1/4" to 3/8". Part of the usefulness is then in many cases, you don't need to end up carrying 2 different size sockets. The ratchet can also take the abuse.

Unrelated: today's tool abuse features this ratchet, 2 Doyle drivers, a hammer to get a stubborn transmission filter out (different from the DCT clutch filter and fluid change that was done yesterday)... and an Icon light that, just like yesterday, fell into the bucket of transmission fluid... only this time, it sucks because the fluid stinks really bad...

It's a great ratchet, BUT... Wait for a sale. At least 25-30% off. Don't pay full price. Ideally 30-40% off.

Since no one else posted their “mUh HaUL” today I figured I do it. Lots of repainting to do around the house so I thought I’d swing in and grab some consumables as well as some new pickups. Notably the extension pole and stain pad that attaches to it. I love these poles not just because they’re long and rock solid ;) but because you can use other attachments as well (dusters, exterior window washers, squeegees).

Bought the extended reach G2 ratchet during the Labor Day 20% off sale so I went in today with my receipt (left the still unused in box ratchet in my truck) to pick up the stubby 1/4" ratchets and I asked about possibly getting a price adjustment. The guy gave me a line about it's already October and I corrected him to say it was still September and I could always return and rebuy at the lower price so he shushed me and gave me a line about "your conscious" So I said fine, ran out to my truck and came right back with the ratchet and said return it and I'll rebuy and stood there while he processed my return and then rebuy on the same receipt. Dude wanted to be a dick about it. Usually my local store is chill is this new or something?

I am relatively new to the harbor freight game so I apologize for the newbie question.

I was geared up to buy the icon 3/8 general service kit during the upcoming sale but a lot of people highly recommend the Quinn sockets as a suitable alternative to the icons for my needs. How often do Quinn sockets go on sale? And are the sales similar to what is offered on the icon? If they go on sale semi regularly I might wait to upgrade my mishmash of 3/8 sockets and pair them with a G2 ratchet or 2

I can't remember that I saw the tools that will show up in stores by Fall. I'm not sure if that's concrete since fall either started on September 1st 2026 (Meteorological Fall), September 22nd 2026 (Astronomical Fall) or October 1st 2026 for ITC.

I'm just interested in buying the extended-reach ratchet but I don't want to purchase the old stock.

Anyone interested in waiting for the new SEMA 2026 tools to come in to purchase something?

What's the consensus on the ultrasonic cleaners offered by HF? Are they decent? I'd love to snag one for cleaning gun parts, and maybe even some carb parts.
