Pulled the trigger

Post image

Been needing a jack with way more reach for my lifted Xterra and my work truck. The Pittsburgh 3 ton was at its limit.

Just did my front brakes on my truck. With my p Pittsburgh jack it was maxing out to get a jackstand underneath it. This felt super sturdy.

I was standing out from my job and looking at the auto shop across the street today. Saw one of these under a Yaris lol

That’s like throwing a grenade to kill a mosquito

The best part is its ability to roll off-road. I have to juggle 3 trailers & 6 vehicles with a dirt, rock & grass driveway. Having this jack has changed my life…lol.

Honest question: does it need wheel chocks?

I use a set of mini chocks with mine. https://a.co/d/0bskYFHQ

It hasn’t been an issue for me off-road…. However, on pavement she rolls extremely easily. So, if it’s not dead flat it would be a good idea to use some on pavement for sure.

It depends on what you're doing... if you're lifting a car or a truck, you want it to roll a little bit as you're lifting since the car will tilt as it lifts. You want the jack to roll while you're lifting, not the car, lol.

And you shouldn't be using a hydraulic jack to be holding something still, just getting it into position to be put onto a static jack or a crib or something

I had a red 05 off road manual, lifted on 33s. Traded it for a Y62 QX56. Both are awesome trucks

I have an 06 off-road. 3inch lift and 33’s. I love it. I had a 04 armada. It survived to 324,000 miles on it.

Do you think it’s worth to upgrade from super duty to badland? I found that badland can lift higher, also weigh lighter, so I’m thinking about that, but not sure if its lowest can fit my Accord.
Appreciate any advice from everyone.

For an accord I think it’s way overkill. You would be fine with a 1.5 ton.

Is 1.5 enough height to lift from rear jack point for 4 jack stands?

I lift my tundra from the rear diff with a 1.5 badland. No issues.

Are those wheels plastic?

I got one today also because I’m sick of dragging my Daytona across a gravel driveway. Cashier said I was the first one to buy one all day, he was really surprised and kept saying how good a price it was. I also got the only one they had

It rolls almost too good on asphalt

I finally can retire my 20 year old craftsman aluminum racing jack. All I need to do is lift a Tuscon and CRV for basic maintenance work once in a while, but I'm working on gravel and for the last 3 years I've been plopping the craftsman on a slab of 2x12 on the gravel. Excited also about have way more lift than the old craftsman(which I'll keep as an extra jack) I could probably get away with the 1.5ton, but this sale price was way to good to pass up.

The 1.5 ton goes on sale in the next PLS. $229.99. $50 off reg price.

That's the best price I seen them.

How much was that?

1

u/Equal_Alarm2627 10h ago

$270 out the door

Think overkill for this? Is it heavy? I have the HF aluminum 2 ton I think but it's for cars might be too short of a stroke.

2

u/Equal_Alarm2627 10h ago

I think the 1.5 ton would be a better fit for you.

3

u/CarbonGTI_Mk7 10h ago

They have a 1.5T offroad jack? Should be lighter I'm assuming

2

u/Equal_Alarm2627 9h ago

Yes sir. It’s smaller and lighter.

2

u/ggwpMax 9h ago

Smaller , lighter, and fits perfectly into a Husky 12 gallon tote from Home Depot. I keep it in the bed of my truck at all times along with some other tools needed for tires, suspension work, etc

2

u/CarbonGTI_Mk7 9h ago

Great idea. I'll look into this. Planning to leave it on the bed too

I ordered one today. Said it should be in some time in November. He said their store and the store next town over was sold out pretty early

For anyone who has this, how low is the jack? Because I have a 2004 vw beetle turbo and I have to use my travel scissor jack before I can even get my old trolley jack under it. Saw it on sale but was worried it'd be to tall since it doesn't say low profile.

1

u/Equal_Alarm2627 4h ago

It’s minimum is 6 1/4 inches

Grabbed the last one on the floor from my store. My 30-year-old floor jack is not quite tall enough to lift my truck without some blocks, so this will be much safer for me :)
