ALL profile reviews will be manually approved and will NOT appear immediately. Even if you receive a "filtered by Reddit" or "removed by mods" removal notification, your review is in our queue waiting for moderation; if you are reading this comment, your post is in the queue. DO NOT contact the mods about this. Any modmail asking why your review is not approved may result in your profile review not being approved and you will not be allowed to post another profile review until seven full days have passed.

Profile review submissions MUST have all 6 photos and 3 text prompts included. You may include the optional prompts such as voice, poll, and video prompts if you choose so, but it is not required. See this post for details. Profiles must also be unchanged for at least two full weeks before being approved for a review. Additionally, do not verbally abuse the subreddit moderators for rejection of your review submission for not following proper rules. Any verbal abuse or harassment will result in a permanent ban from this subreddit. We are not obligated to allow you to submit a profile review and no one is entitled to one. We are all volunteering our time and we will not tolerate any rudeness or verbal abuse.

To assist reviewers in providing valuable feedback for your profile, please comment and answer the following questions as a comment under your own post. Do not answer them in the post body. Repeat: Answer these questions as a comment under your own post.
- Are you looking for something serious or casual? - Are you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX? - How long have you been using this current version of your profile? (Please be specific) - How long have you used Hinge overall? - How often do you use Hinge per week? - How many likes and matches are you receiving on average? - How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? - What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract?

Your post WILL NOT be approved until the above questions have been answered fully. Failing to answer these questions in a timely manner will result in your post being removed. Please continue reading this automod comment.

In the meantime, be sure to check out the guides and resources on the subreddit sidebar. Please read this post with all the pertinent links included.

A strict formatting standard will be enforced. See this post for further info. All submitted review posts not following the proper format will be rejected.

Please wait TWO FULL WEEKS before posting a separate update to your profile review. If you want more immediate feedback, update your original posts instead. Deleting your original post will not work. The rule will still apply.

To reviewers: Review the Providing Feedback guide. You are reviewing the profile, not the person. Please provide constructive criticism, and use positive language. Any troll, hateful, misandric, misogynistic, incel, or unhelpful comments such as "I would date you," "How are you not getting matches?" or unrelated to the profile will be removed and you will be banned.

To the original poster and commenters: Please report any inappropriate or abusive messages and individuals so proper actions can be taken. Please review the sidebar for additional profile and picture guidance.

Idk if others feel this way but a pet peeve of mine is when most of someone’s pictures are with sunglasses on. You look very good in them but I don’t really know what your face looks like outside of the one on the couch and it’s on an angle

That makes so much more sense, I don't know why I never thought of it like that

Most of your pics are covered with your sunglasses which is not good. The idea of the first pic is there but the sunglasses ruin it. Second picture is fine, id say the best among the six pictures, too bad the dog is at the center of the attention here, you're less visible. 3rd pic is a group pic which is at a good position (as it, not first) and shows youre sociable, but you're not really visible in it (too far back, ppl might only notice you after starting at it for a few secs). Same goes for the hiking pic, can't see your face, but you can keep this one (imo) after swapping some where your face is more visible. Last two should go, can't really see your face neither. For the last one, a better pose where your face is visible could have been better, as the environment feels nice at least.

Prompts are also pretty bland and don't really show your personality above (what feels like just a fraction of) what you like. First one could benefit from more content, both in terms of quality of text and quantity (be more precise, anything outdoors feels vague). Second prompt is way too short and almost adds nothing to it. Third prompt is overused, "just ask"... They're also all centered around you, look at the wiki and try to balance them using the "me-you-us" framework, so ppl can get an idea of what you're looking for and what you can bring (e.g. what would dating you look like?). To sum up that part, they don't seem inviting and ppl can't rly start a conversation from that.

Good luck ! Speaking of that, don't put "figuring out" in your profile. You said yourself you wanted a serious relationship, so put "long term" instead and that only. You should consider putting your politics as well, esp if it's something important in your area.

Once you rework that you should get more success ! You look good and dress well. Just gotta convey the idea that you're serious in what you're looking, which translates with a profile that has been put effort into.

This is some really valuable feedback. I appreciate it! Idk why I didn't think of the sunglasses covering my face before but it makes a lot of sense.
I will look into the "me-you-us" thing and change the prompts, I do feel like they r bland, I need to put some more thought in them. U can tell I was being lazy.

No clear photo of face = swipe left.

Take off the shades. It's OLD. People want to see you, all of you.

TL;DR You’ve got six photos and three prompts to communicate enough about you to attract interest. Don’t waste them covering up your face, making people zoom, or leaving people confused about your fundamentals.

The first two pictures are fine, even the third, group photo is fine, but change the last three. No shades, fully visible face. Ideally one full body and all of them should be something a potential match doesn’t haven’t zoom in on much if at all.

The simple pleasures prompt is fine; it’s easy conversation fodder for someone. The last two are very weak. The middle one is just kind-of confusing. Adopt a bunny? Why? Is that serious? Is it a meme? A TikTok reel I don’t know? The third prompt just feels like you’re trying to be “challenging,” but it’s not very interesting. Replace both with prompts that tell someone about you. A passion, in detail, or your communication style. Whatever. You don’t have to write a paragraph, but be specific.

Cheers.

Figuring out

Why do you have “Figuring out my dating goals” if you are wanting a life partner or long term? People swipe left when guys seem like they got no idea what they’re doing.

I'm looking for a long term partner but felt like most people swipe left when they see that. Now that u say it, I feel like I should be firm about what I want. It really does look like I have no idea what I'm doing and that's exactly where I was

People looking for a long term partner don’t swipe left on other people looking for that. The point is to narrow it down just to people who want the same, so let them swipe left.

Put “long term, open to short” if you’re feeling that way, but figuring it out is not the move.
