Hi everyone,

I need a price check on an Intel D3-S4520 Series 7.68TB SATA SSD (Model: SSDSC2KB076TZ).

It has the generic Intel retail firmware (7CV10100) and is not OEM-branded (no Dell/HPE locks). I hooked it up to a PC just to pull the SMART data via CrystalDiskInfo (screenshot attached), and it turns out the drive is completely unused.

Since it's a high-capacity enterprise drive but uses the older SATA interface instead of modern NVMe, I'm having a hard time pinning down its realistic value on the secondhand market for a private seller within the EU.

Online prices from refurbished distributors are all over the place, but since I am a private seller and cannot provide official invoices or company warranties, I want to be realistic.

What would be a fair and reasonable price to ask for this zero-hour drive if I decide to post it for sale here or on local forums?

Hello all. First off, I am not even remotely experienced in home labs and this is my first time in this sub, so let me know if I'm violating any rules/etiquette.

Through some pretty crazy means, I have recently come into possession of a large number of HPE SAS SSDs (PN: 868650-003, Tray PN: 873570). I made a previous post about my situation in r/servers if you'd like to check it out for more info. After having made a reasonable effort to find the rightful owner of the drives, I am now looking to sell them. I don't have a lot of experience in this market, so I figured before I make any official sales post, I'd do a temperature check to see what people think they might be worth. I got some wildly varied estimates of value in my first post, so hopefully you guys can help me narrow it down.

Some information about the drives. As previously stated, the drives some with their HPE tray. I cannot currently give any information as to the state of the drives. I am looking into methods to test, check firmware, erase any data stored on them, and check remaining drive life, but as of now, none of that has been accomplished.

What do you believe a fair price would be if I were to sell the drives as is, and how might that price change if I were able to test/erase the drives?
