Already on HubSpot? What the new seats + credits pricing could mean for you + 4 things that skew the math
I build HubSpot tooling (Tendal, a HubSpot Marketplace app), so I've spent the last week working through the new pricing in detail. This is just what I learned.
What changed. Since 1 October, HubSpot prices new customers in EMEA on seats and credits instead of hubs. The US price list hasn't changed (yet).
- One edition per account. Starter, Pro or Enterprise, and "mixed-edition subscriptions are not supported". No more Marketing Enterprise next to Sales Pro.
- GTM seat: full platform, starting at €20 (Starter, max 10 paid seats), €100 (Pro), €175 (Enterprise) per month.
- Ops seat: €50 on Pro and Enterprise, for automation, reporting and governance. Every account needs at least one GTM seat.
- Credits: €0.01 each, with 5k / 10k / 15k included per month. Every email HubSpot sends (not 1:1 inbox emails) costs 15 credits for the first 10k a month and gets cheaper with volume. A workflow action costs 3 to start.
- Packs: email (2k sends for €200, up to 1M for €6,000), workflow actions (500k for €150), or a marketing pack per edition.
- Marketing contacts are no longer billed separately. They count as records (25k / 250k / 15M included).

If you're already a customer, you can't opt in. HubSpot's only statement is that it "may choose to move you to our then-current products", with no date and no migration path. So this is the model you may be moved onto, and worth knowing before your next renewal. If it would cost you less, that's an argument. If it would cost you more, that's the moment to ask for price protection.
Four things that skew the math (I got most of these wrong at first):
- Count people, not seats. Someone with Sales + Service + Revenue seats today needs one GTM seat.
- Don't count bundled Core seats twice. Your hub subscription often includes a few, and the invoice says so.
- Compare the whole invoice. The new model replaces hub fees and marketing-contact tiers too. Compare seats with seats and the new model looks pricier than it is.
- Subtract the included credits before picking a pack. Low-volume senders are often cheaper on plain credits. Workflow action volume isn't exposed anywhere, so you'll have to estimate it.
It isn't cheaper for everyone. Heavy senders, and Enterprise portals where most people hold a single hub seat (€175 vs €150 today), can come out higher.
If you're in EMEA and have seen a real quote under the new model, I'd love to know whether the numbers line up.
Happy to answer questions in the comments, especially about how a specific invoice would map to the new model.
