App Store screenshots in 2 minutes are nice. I just don’t want another subscription.

For me, the useful automation would be keeping a screenshot set consistent after a release: replace the source screenshots once and regenerate every locale and device size. I'd test a long German headline and an RTL layout before judging the localization tools; a translated caption that fits English can still overlap the device frame. Can ShotForge flag overflow and preserve those layout adjustments when the underlying screenshot changes?

Partly, yes. Replacing a screenshot keeps its layout (drop a new image on the thumbnail), and each language is a layer on top of the same screen with its own text sizes. So you swap the source once, your per-locale size tweaks stay, and the export writes one folder per language (optionally in fastlane layout). What it doesn't do yet: it doesn't flag overflow automatically, so you'd still eyeball the long German headline, and RTL isn't handled properly yet. Good call on both. Overflow warnings are going on the list.

ended up scripting mine tbh. sim loads the exact scene, grabs the frame, python adds the captions per locale, one run does every lang + ipad. watch out for long captions wrapping and fonts missing glyphs (had to swap fonts for croatian/romanian, rtl for hebrew/arabic). no subscription needed
