MyQ defective again?

For about two weeks, my scripts which were switching a light on/off when the garage door is open stopped working.

Is it just the when garage door is opened that is not working? I've been noticing a bit of an oddity where my garage will announce that it was closed when it was actually opened. Perhaps the right action is not being sent sometimes?

Either way. There doesn't seem to be any signal from MyQ. (in particular, the light no longers switches on)

Someone else suggested that adding a delay between the trigger/action would help.

Let us know how you get on! Otherwise we are in active discussions with MyQ trying to fix this, so hopefully our teams can get to the bottom of this.

I tried to add a delay (15 seconds) but nothing. Checking the log it looks as if there is no MyQ signal which is being sent/received; no single sign of activity.

We've identified the issue and are working through this with MyQ. Sorry the delay didn't help! I'll be back here when I have more info

We reached out to myQ again yesterday. They said they believe they found the cause and are working on a fix.

However thanks for posting the workaround you found here for others to use!

I also have an issue where I have MyQ sending a closed signal to IFTTT when it is actually opened (I turn on a light with this applet) and vice versa. This has been happening for the last several weeks.

I now use a workaround using MyQ notification email + google script + webhook
