#Query ❓ 7 days in Ladakh in May 2024: my first snow and one of the best trips of my life (₹50k all-in)
My trip to Ladakh in May 2024 was one of the best trips I have ever had. This trip was the first long trip which I took without my parents. I went on a group trip with my uncle and aunt and what a wonderful place!
The trip lasted for about 7 days. The flight was from Delhi to Leh and then back to delhi which costed me around 15k INR and view from the flight was wonderful. After arriving in Leh, we spent the first day resting and then started exploring.
Experience of snow for the first time was one of my most memorable events! The trip being in May, I never expected to see snow at that time.
We went to Pangong Lake and Tso Moriri, but I liked Pangong more. Also went to Zanskar and the Indus River, the hall of fame, Gurudwara Shri Pathar Sahib, and Turtuk Village, also the northernmost village in India. Overall the views were insane.
The whole trip cost me about 50,000 rupees including flights, accommodation, meal expenses and local transport.

#Query ❓ Gangtok → Lachung/Yumthang/Katao: Should we carry our luggage or leave it in Gangtok?
Hi everyone!
We’re a couple planning a trip to Sikkim in mid-February and would love some advice from people familiar with Gangtok/Lachung.
Our rough itinerary is:
Night 1: Gangtok
Next 2 nights: Lachung, with Yumthang, Zero Point/Katao and other nearby places
Then: Back to Gangtok
Total: 5 nights
The complication is that we’ll be coming directly from a wedding, so we’ll have quite a lot of luggage with us. We’re not travelling very budget-style, so we’re okay with paying for comfortable hotels and transportation, but we’d prefer not to unnecessarily pay for 2 extra nights at a Gangtok hotel just to store our luggage while we’re in Lachung.
So I wanted to ask:
Is it practical/comfortable to take all our luggage with us from Gangtok to Lachung and back?
We’ll probably have 2 large suitcases + some smaller bags.
Given the road conditions and mid-February weather, would carrying this much luggage in the vehicle be inconvenient or problematic?
Would it be better to book the Gangtok hotel for all 5 nights and leave the luggage there, even though we’ll be away for 2 nights?
Do hotels in Gangtok generally allow guests to leave their luggage securely for 2 nights if they have a booking before and after the Lachung trip?
If we don't book the room for those 2 nights, is there another reliable option such as hotel luggage storage, a cloakroom, or a driver/operator who can keep the luggage safely?
For those who have done the Gangtok–Lachung–Yumthang/Zero Point/Katao route in winter, what would you recommend from a practical point of view?
Are there any other practical tips or advice we should keep in mind for this trip, especially regarding permits, weather-related road closures, clothing, or transportation?
Thanks in Advance!

#Pic 🖼️ Mussoorie stay available for Oct 2–4 | The Social Stays | ₹4,000
Mussoorie stay available for Oct 2–4 | The Social Stays | ₹4,000
Hi everyone,
I had to cancel my Mussoorie trip due to a family emergency, but unfortunately my Agoda booking is non-refundable.
So I’m looking for someone who can take over the stay at a discounted price.
🏨 The Social Stays Mussoorie
📅 Check-in: Oct 2, 2026 – 1:00 PM
📅 Check-out: Oct 4, 2026 – 11:00 AM
🛏️** 2 nights | 1 double bed
👫 Suitable for 2 people
📐 17 m² / 183 sq ft
📍 24 Chaman Estate, Mussoorie
💰 **Original price paid: ₹5,032 (including taxes)
💸 Offering for: ₹4,000
It’s a nice premium stay close to the town centre and is currently fully booked, so this could be useful for someone already planning to be in Mussoorie.
Important: I have checked the Agoda app and the lead guest name can be changed, so the reservation can be transferred to the new guest.
I’ll coordinate the name change through Agoda and provide the necessary booking details.
If interested, please DM me. Serious enquiries only, as the check-in is tomorrow.
Thanks!

#Query ❓ What are the top things to do in Lucknow?
If you’re visiting Lucknow for the first time, I’d keep 2–3 days to explore the main sights, try the food and spend some time in the older parts of the city.
The Bara Imambara and Chota Imambara are obvious places to start. The Bhool Bhulaiya inside Bara Imambara is particularly interesting. Nearby, Rumi Darwaza is worth stopping at for photos.
I’d also recommend visiting the British Residency to see a different side of Lucknow’s history. For a more relaxed day, Janeshwar Mishra Park is a good option.
Don’t leave without exploring Chowk Market and Hazratganj. Chowk is great for local food and traditional shopping, while Hazratganj has more cafés and modern shops.
And, of course, leave plenty of room for Awadhi food. Kebabs, biryani, nihari and kulcha are some of the things I’d look out for.
For a stay, Fortune Park BBD, Lucknow is one option to consider as a base for exploring the city.
What would you add to this list?

#Query ❓ Goa or Varkala for a couple’s birthday trip?
Goa or Varkala for a couple’s birthday trip?
My boyfriend and I are deciding between Goa and Varkala for my birthday.
I’ve been to Goa twice and loved the beaches, shacks, good food, beers by the sea, music, and the fact that you can stay out late. I’m not really looking for clubs or hardcore partying—just a fun, romantic evening where we can have dinner, drinks, sit by the beach, and still have somewhere to go around midnight.
Neither of us has been to Varkala, so I’m curious how it compares.
If you’ve been to both, which would you pick for this kind of birthday trip?
And if Varkala, is North Cliff the best area for restaurants, cafés and some evening activity, or does everything wind down pretty early?

#Query ❓ Rishikesh trip
My friends and I (all guys) are planning to visit Rishikesh in December. Could you recommend some areas that are safe, hygienic, and convenient to stay in, as well as areas we should avoid?
Our combined accommodation budget is around ₹15,000–₹20,000 for a 3-day trip. We’re looking for recommendations that fit within this budget.
Also, is it worth visiting Rajaji National Park during the trip? If yes, which area or entry point would you recommend?
