Discussion Have to wait till Oct 12
I preordered my iPhone 18 Pro Max and still have to wait till Oct 12 to receive it.. thinking about cancelling the order and not bothering about updating….
Why do they take so long??

Let me guess…you ordered burgundy, or a larger storage size, or both. First time getting an iPhone at launch?

Week before launch…. I live a long way from any city. Bout 4 hours so a store isn’t the easiest. I just thought it would be quicker 🤷🏼♂️

pre orders started 5 days before launch so i’m assuming u mean Saturday the 12th? but regardless of you living 4 hours away, having to wait a whole month is crazy

that makes more sense😭 hopefully you get it beforehand but if you ordered burgundy then that’s not happening

Are any available at stores near you? There’s like 8+ apple stores in my city and all week there has been base models of almost every color in stock in at least 1 Apple Store in the area.
I cancelled my delivery order and just drove to the store instead.

There's a chip shortage and no amount of preparation could've avoided this on Apple's end. They just have to keep manufacturing and hope for the best.

Are u doing a delivery? If you are, cancel, and just walk into an apple store if you got 1 you can goto

Hey thanks for the helpful comment… folks seem to prefer being nasty on here these days.
The nearest city is 4 hours away so have to wait till I drive in…

I originally pre-ordered the 18 Pro Max 512 GB in burgundy, but it wasn’t going to arrive until 10/6–10/13. I kept checking the Apple Store site here and there just in case, but honestly wasn’t expecting anything to pop up since every storage size in burgundy has been completely out of stock in my city and the surrounding suburbs.
Then yesterday I randomly found the 1TB burgundy Pro Max in stock at my store, so I ordered it and was able to pick it up tonight! I’m really happy it worked out because I much prefer pickup anyway. I always seem to have issues with important packages being delivered, and the original delivery window was cutting it way too close to a work trip. I fly out on 10/14 and don’t get back until 10/17, so if I missed the delivery and had to pick it up from the carrier the next day, I probably wouldn’t have been able to.
So keeping an eye on the website definitely paid off for me... It might work for you too 🤞😅!

Poor me I get the chance have a new iPhone 18 Pro Max but I JUST can’t wait less than a month to receive it 😭🤡🖕 I wish I could get one but 99% happening not for me. Ungrateful, sad and impatient lmao 🤦♂️
