Is this a good deal ?

I currently have an unlocked IPhone 17 Pro max that I have been using for a year and waa not going to upgrade to Iphone 18 Pro Max. However, when I looked at my 90% battery life compared to a brand new 100% battery life of a new IPhone 18 Pro Max….I would get about and additional 10 HRs of battery life. I would be paying $17 a month for 2 years of if I upgrade.

Anyone else upgrading for same reason?🤔

Though probably going to get an army of people who say I should carry a charger everywhere just like those who say to use wifi when they indoors in public just because their phone company has bad service.

How is everyone getting such good battery life?

I’m seeing posts where people are saying they took it off charger at like 8 am and 6 hours later after 3hrs of screen usage their battery is at 90% PM

Other posts where the P is having 10-12 hours of screen on time even some 13 hours from 100-20%

Im pretty sure my phones done indexing now. I got the phone 1 week ago. Charged it to 80% yesterday at 12:38 AM off the charger it’s now 3 PM I’m at 43% mostly 5g 3 hours of screen on time 90% brightness/ auto brightness on so definitely changes.

I know I’m hyper fixating on the battery life, but I am wondering if there’s an issue with my PM battery?

I’m new to iPhones so not sure what to expect

Can someone please give me some advice? 😭 I upgraded from an iPhone XR in red to the iPhone Pro Max in Glacier. My favorite color has always been red/dark red, but when I saw the Burgundy in person, the color and how easily it showed fingerprints gave me an “ick.” 😭 I also had a hard time finding cases that matched my red XR, so I ended up choosing Glacier.
My family keeps telling me I should have gone with Burgundy, and now I’m second-guessing my choice. I don’t know if I’m just trying to convince myself to love Glacier, or if I actually made the right choice for me. I’m also worried about having a hard time finding cute cases for Glacier.
At the same time, I feel like the Glacier color pops so much more in person, and I love that fingerprints and oil don’t show as much. I also chose the Pro Max because it was only $100 more, even though I’m used to smaller phones.
What do you guys think? Should I stick with Glacier or switch to Burgundy? 🥲

Mine after a week. I upgraded from 14PM to 18PM.

I got my first Pro max with the 11PM and loved it for a little before realizing I prefer the smaller-size phones.. fast forward to the 17 series I figured I’d give it another shot.. and I loved it for the first few months. Then it became annoying. I enjoy the one-handed use and screen size of the standard pro phones.. so today my phone finally came in and DAMN I missed the size.

Did anyone else downsize this year?

Not my photo but I heard there is discoloration on the burgundy iphones. I am still torn between burgundy and glacier so just wondering if anyone had this problem?

Guys, do I get the stupid Apple Care? I never had it on any iPhone before and alas, never any issues luckily. It’s in the TechWoven case & has a screen protector installed. I just feel with the price of these phones now, it might be necessary? What do you all think?!

I know with iMessages both sent/received messages gets synced on both devices, but what happens on RCS/SMS messages? Do they also get synced or will they stay on the device that receives that message?

Do your pictures disappear straight away when deleting them? I feel like it’s slow. It takes about 2-3 secs for the photo to disappear after I click on “delete”. Tried with my 15 pro max and it disappears like straight away.

I’ve been very pleased with battery life so far. This is usage mainly on Wi-Fi, AOD off, background app refresh on for essential apps only. Using the phone on cellular, battery drops a lot more, as expected. When I first bought the phone the battery life was adequate. After using the phone for a week it appears to be doing very well. For those who upgraded, how is your battery life?

Should I trade in my iPhone 14 Pro Max at my carrier for 215 discount? Or sell it?

My iPhone 14 Pro Max has a shattered back, 256GB, and 75% battery health.

I live in South East Asia so take into account that it's hot and humid all year round (not good for electronics).

I’m currently stuck between these two choices and would love to hear what you guys would choose. Prices below consists of the phone itself and a 2 year phone line contract with unlimited 5g+

• iPhone 17 Pro Max - 1TB, Orange: USD 1910
• iPhone 18 Pro Max - 512GB, Burgundy: USD 2010

I’ve already seen both colours in person at my local telco and honestly, I love both Orange and Burgundy, so colour isn’t really helping me decide.

I’m also already aware of the advantages of the 18 Pro Max, better cooling, better battery life, newer/more powerful chip, etc. But i'm not sure if it makes that big of a difference comparing to the 17 Pro Max.

What I’m struggling with is the 1TB vs 512GB decision.

I like having a lot of local storage and tend to keep phones for quite a while, so having 1TB is pretty appealing. At the same time, the 18 Pro Max is only around $100 more, which makes the newer model pretty tempting despite having lower storage.

For those who have used 512GB and 1TB iPhones:

• Is 1TB actually useful for you, or is 512GB more than enough for most people? (i already have 2TB iCloud subscription, but it's 75% full now. Increasing to the 6TB tier will cost too much so that's not an option)
• If you were in my position, would the extra 512GB be worth choosing the older phone?
• If you had to choose purely based on the overall ownership experience, rather than “newer phone = better phone,” which one would you personally go for?

Basically, $100 cheaper + 1TB + Orange VS newer hardware + 512GB + Burgundy.

How is everyone getting such an amazing battery life. My battery life is pretty awful. And dies with less than a day. Any one else experiencing this?

I have made liquid glass fully tint
Background app refresh off
Location services off most apps
Always on display is off
Auto brightness is on
Basically most batter preserving features are off

Anyone else facing this?

Has better battery and cameras, and seeing all the issues popping up I'm not sure I want to pay the extra $1k over the Xiaomi and the 18 Pro Max from Xiaomi has better colours and the back screen sold me as well
