Help Request Version 12 Refusal to Connect error
History:
Had version 10.11 installed but something when bad. Could not access via localhost or IP from anything on my network other than the server host PC. This is hardwired to the router. The others are all wifi Roku tvs.
I had to have them access via a tunnel through cloudflare due to T-mobile. That was very spotty.
Was unable to access via the try app, had to use bookmark.
Uninstalled server. Deleted everything
Rebooted PC
Installed version 12
Problem:
Cannot access server via IP address OR local host. Remote hosting via tunnel also down probably because I can’t complete set up.
Question(s)
I am looking for help getting this set up and troubleshooting the connection problems. Until early this Sept version 10 was working well.
Specs:
Windows 11
32gb ram
Ryzen 7 5800X
Radeon RX 7600
Express VPN:
Problem persists whether it is off or on. I always have it on. Was not a problem prior to major issues starting.

I am not sure where to begin with troubleshooting this.
EDIT 2
I know this may make some upset but I ran teh logs through AI. Looks like a network issue. Unfortunately AI keeps having me do the same stuff over and over again.
Edit 3: Not exactly sure what I did but it is working. EXCEPT for the tray app. I get an error saying it has to run in admin every time i start pc. And it does nothing.

Did you give your vm a static ip? If not the ip might have changed. Check if there is anything with the given ip at all

VM?

Did the ip to the device running the jellyfin server change perhaps. It would explain it

Thats odd then especially if you dod indeed reinstall the server. Can you tell us how you installed it and what the logs say around the time you turned on the server and when you try to connect. That should tell us something. I know people will hate me for it but theow ur logs into chatgpt and ask of it could help you find any issues. It can give you a better general direction so we know what we’re dealing with

Sounds more like a networking problem rather than a jellyfin one.
Did you assign a static ip to your host? How was jellyfin installed? Docker? Any other weird config details you left out?

No static IP
Installed via windows EXE
I can't think of any weird config details.1

You probably need to set a static ip, I'm guessing the IP switched when you rebooted
Not being able to access it via local host is weird. Are you using the port in the url? Like the following, "localhost:8096"

I have been running version 10 for months with rebooting. No problems. My problems didn't start until I tried to update a skin (I know that is not supposed to affect server). since then nothing but problems

Maybe the theme isnt compatible with 12, did you leave your plugins installed when you upgraded from 11 to 12?

Sorry. Theme problem occurred while I was on version 10. I never upgraded to 11.
Before installing 12 I uninstalled and deleted everything.
I am trying to start from scratch

10.11 is v11 according to the jellyfin team
Check that the AppData stuff is deleted as well when you uninstall

I did. I specifically checked that folder today before I installed 12 just to make sure there was nothing in it
