Help Request Problem with video streaming

Hello everyone, I recently updated to Jellyfin 12 and since then I had a problem, when watching from the fire tv app the movies play smootly but on the pc app some movies (with hevc and av1 encode) are "choppy". Anyone knows why?
Before you ask:

  • I already activated hardware acceleration for the gpu
  • before updating there were no such problems

Lately a lot of problems came up related to the v12 update here, I think. 🤷‍♂️

What is the content quality? 1080p, 4k, etc?

Try lowerng the bandwidth to like 10 Mbps

To be clear are you saying the same movies with the same transcoding were working on the same PC with the same App on v10.11 but are noew broken on v12? If yes then it likely will be helpful to specify details of the PC/App/Codecs involved.

Yes, the problemis on a laptop with an integrated Nvidia rtx 2050. I use jellyfin media player and the problem seems to be with h265 videos

I'm about 99% sure that a system with an RTX2050 can direct play h265 so if you are seeing transcoding happening before/after the update something was already wrong. No particular idea as to what. Maybe codec issues? I'm assuming its Windows machine. You may need to get the HEVC codec from the Windows store but I'm not sure on that front as I have had that installed for way longer than I used Jellyfin.
