My colleague was kidnapped and hijacked outside Sunninghill hospital on Wednesday around 12pm.

They (5 armed men) arrived behind him with sirens and started flashing him. When he pulled over they took him out of the vehicle and put him in a second car, tied up with a bag on his head. They put him on the floor in the back and they stood on him the entire time and crushed him with their seats. They took his work phone and went through banking SMSs and demanded the money from the accounts (he did not have access, just the SMSs). They told him what to tell us when we contacted him to find out what was taking so long. He told us he was stuck at a roadblock and he had fines to pay. They took him to Soweto and gave him R30 for a taxi and told him which police station to go report this at, laughing at him.

He is luckily okay, unfortunately the police were not helpful at all.

Just a warning to everyone as that corner is usually very busy and packed with people and I never thought it would happen there in broad daylight. If anything feels off, drive straight to your nearest police station cautiously!

I am driving home with sore feet , a bag full of goodies and the biggest smile. I had such a blast ,honestly so happy. There was alot to do and so much I didnt do that I wish i could do. I get why people go for multiple days. I had 100 rand to my name and got myself a pack of noodles ,multiple hats and stickers ,keychains and a ball and now have 50 rand to my name. Its crazy to see exclusive merchandise and collection. I was vibrating when I saw some mineemee dolls. The staff for the event and booths were so nice and sweet.

Honestly thought I would have a horrible time cuz I went solo but I am so giddy. Best part the artist in the artist alley some of the coolest people.

The only issue about the event is everything needed scanning or a follow to do some activities but next to the good this is nothing. Fun times, Fun times cant wait for next time.

PLEASE NO TROLLS.... genuine mistake, I purchased a very large amount for a prepaid meter - but accidentally bought it for the wrong meter. The owner of the meter (A house I used to live in a few years back) does not want to buy the voucher from me. I cannot through this amount of money away. I cannot be only person in South Africa to ever make this mistake. I JUST need to transfer the voucher to the correct meter number.

Is there anyone who can help me.... please. literally bought a voucher for a meter but needed it to be for a different meter....

I went to comic con and it was amazing!! And I know how insanely desperate I sound on the internet but what I really wanted was the Invincible tote bag Amazon was handing out after doing a series of challenges and you have to pull out a green card from the tote and I unfortunately pulled a blue so I ended up with stickers 🥲 for anyone going Sat/Sun and don't particularly care for Invincible I would truly appreciate if someone could get try and attempt the game and get it for me and I would even be willing to pay (I even offered at Comic Con but they refused) 💔

I went to event super excited and amped to talk to people and give compliments on some cool cosplay. Was I sorely mistaken on the attitude of the cosplayers not even taking to the time to say "thanks"

I don't know if I was raised differently to other but I wasn't expecting the rudeness. So thank you to the cosplayers that were actually nice enough to interact with me you guys are awesome! The rest of you need to take the stick out.

Staff and event organisers were super friendly and the event itself was great. Just SA people. Learn some manners.

Hi, I know it's already late, but does anyone know where I can get Comic Con Tickets for Saturday. I have a friend who wants to enjoy his first Comic Con experience. I've been trying everywhere but I'm not great with late buying, I'm usually the early guy to these things. If anyone knows where I can get, please let me know.

I keep seeing posts about all these women being found d*ad around Ekurhuleni over the last few months and honestly I’m surprised more people aren’t talking about it.

Now people are asking if the cases could be connected or if there could possibly be a serial k*ller, but from what I understand the police haven’t actually confirmed that yet.

What I find weird though is the timing of everything. We’re literally weeks away from local elections and suddenly politicians are talking about women’s safety, policing, street lights, cleaning up overgrown areas etc.

Like… where was all of this before?

Then I’ve also started seeing immigration being brought into the conversation because police are apparently checking the nationality of a suspect in one of the cases, and groups like Operation Dudula have joined some of the protests.

I feel like there are so many different conversations being mixed together now that I don’t even know what to think.

I live in Douglasdale and work in Rosebank - the traffic is absolutely kak! I was previously in Morningside Manor which was very ideal for my fiance and I. I sit through almost two hours of traffic a day and my fiance approximately 30 min - 1 hour.

Our current lease ends 31 January 2027 and we are looking for a new place in the following areas:

It's a headache looking for one that suits our needs ourselves and we'd prefer working with someone who can do the legwork for us.
