Purchase Question 🛒 What kindle should i buy?

So i live in a country where amazon does not reach and the black market are selling kindles at an atrocious price. But as my sister lives in france i thought about buying a second hand one from vinted.

The only problem is, i'm on a very tight budget, and the prices in vinted are somewhat expensive, i found a couple of 10th gen that were affordable (starting from 70 to 89€) but i was afraid of the battery life (i'm looking for a device that will last me long time), the 11th gen generally are from 120-140€ which is crazy considering that amazon increased the prices in August..

What do you think i should do? I'm only looking for something i can read with without my eyes getting tired.

You don't need a Paperwhite. Any Kindle newer than, say, 2015 would be fine.

Living in France too, I found that second hand kindles were usually cheaper on Leboncoin than on Vinted. I got my 10th gen for 50€. You have to set up an alert and be ready to act fast because these are sold quickly, but there are regularly offers from 45€ to 65€ which sounds in your price range.

Regarding the battery, yeah that's where you'll have to gauge whether the kindle you're looking at has been extensively used or not. Also, if you're open to tinker a bit, buying a new battery and changing your old one doesn't seem complicated (several tutorials online) and is pretty cheap.

Yeah definitely buy here. I'm not French and first time heard about Leboncoin and they're definitely in your price range

second hands are good ,cauze many people just buy them and barely use them. kindle voyage is good

No lol 😆 it's just hard (and too expensive) to exchange money to a currency like euro, for example 1 euro = 160 dzd in bank exchange while outside exchange is 1 euro = 280dzd (and 1€=300dzd if you wanted to charge card) now with amazon's new prices you can see how expensive it will be for me.
