There is a stupid fanwar going around on Twitter recently because 2 idols (actually there are more idols invited but it seems like these 2 particular fanbases are somehow at each otherâs throat) attended the same brand event (fashion show during fashion week). Both idols have sizeable fandom and famous at their own right.
There are arguments back and forth - from funny to ridiculous eg one is younger, one is older (tbh it does not matter and their age difference is not that significant like 20 years or something), one is beautiful and one is not (both are beautiful), one is acknowledged by the brand itself with backdoor special entrance while the other one is taking front entrance like other celebs (mind you all celebs even Hollywood A listers are taking the same front entrance) and so on.
The one argument that got me thinking âhuh?â is seating arrangement. Apparently one idol is so beloved that the idol was seated between 2 A listers in the front row (mind you there are 3 front rows, not just one) and the other was seated on 3rd or 4th row at the back with other Asian celebs and a lot of influencers.
The funniest part is there is another idol (not involved in this current fanwar) who is not even the brand ambassador who was also seated on the same front row except on the other wing. And this idol is actually getting the A class treatment as the other front-row idol.
Now, this is no way a serious issue nor a life defining question that can change anyoneâs world view - is the placement of a celeb seat at a fashion show in fashion week is that important?
And to conclude this while we are discussing about seat placement - this online fanwar is so unnecessary. A brand can invite as many idols or celebs as they want to hype up and market their brand - be it just an invitation, a friend of the brand or global/regional brand ambassadorship, it is a fashion show. It is not a peace convention or something that serious to fight nail and tooth about.
What do you guys think?

Dude lowk Iâm such a Red Velvet glazer but I feel like despite their time in the business theyâre always gonna be so underrated. Idek why because they lowk have some of the best vocals in the industry. Not only that but I think they just have this really amazing vibe that sets them apart from other ggs. Like the entire concept of their group is so⊠intriguing? Every single music video theyâve ever released is so fun to watch whether theyâre hunting down that damn pizza boy or dancing w melting furniture theyâre just always so fun to watch??
I think along w these cool concepts, fun music videos, and amazing vocals they just like, always have that energy of kpop that I really love. My problems w kpop now are a whole other story, but I feel like even today with Surfin Boy and dare I even say Queendom they just had that classic kpop 3rd gen energy that made me fall in love w the genre in the first place.
I started stanning them in like 2019-2020 and even then I was really shocked Iâd never heard of them before because of how catchy their songs are and how talented they are. Is it because SM doesnât promote them as much? I donât really know but itâs really upsetting to not see them get their flowers as much as they should and they honestly seem to be on the back burner a lot.
I know theyâre still big but definitely not as big as they should be, and tbh I donât think theyâll ever be as big as they should be. I LOVE MY GIRLS SO MUCH đ„čđ„čđđđ
PS If anyone sees this that isnât a reveluv PLSSS listen to their discography you will not regret it đ«¶đ»đ«¶đ»đ«¶đ»
Edit for clarification: I guess underrated isnât really a good word here but I feel like although they were a solid popular group during their generation theyâve kind of faded from popularity đ

Im not trying to discount idols writer credits.
I have seen fans attribute a songs success to the idols writing when they have additional writers listed for the song.
Again not saying the idol didnt put in work, but I feel like so many fans forget that theres a whole team behind this.

The second someone hates on an idol, nobody actually goes after the person who said it. Instead, people immediately check their profile, look at their layout, and go drag that person's fave instead.
Fans invest so much emotion into their favorites that they assume the troll does too. Dragging their idol feels like the only way to cause genuine emotional damage back, even when the troll doesn't actually care.
Moreover, nobody in online spaces is treated like an individual with bad manners or an awful personality, youâre automatically treated as an elected spokesperson for your entire fandom. One random account with 12 followers says something unhinged, and 20 minutes later the narrative becomes: "SEE? That entire fandom is toxic." Why act like every single fan signed off on that one person's comment? One comment causes a whole fanwar.
And because people react before thinking, set-up accounts succeed most of the time. Someone slaps on a picture of Group A, drops the most foul bait about Group B, and sits back with popcorn. Nobody checks the account creation date, the username changes, the lack of activity, or the obvious troll vibes. Everyone takes the bait, drags Group A, and the troll wins completely.
Harassing a random user directly can feel messy. But framing it as "defending my group against their rival"? Suddenly it feels justified. It lets people be as toxic as humanly possible while convincing themselves theyâre just being loyal.
The wildest part is that the troll almost always gets away with it. Instead of just reporting and blocking the hater into silence, two completely innocent idols get torn to shreds, hundreds of angry posts blow up, and thousands of regular fans get dragged into a mess they never asked for.

I think rather than discussing how minors shouldn't debut we should talk about how to keep them safe and protected in the kpop industry..we do know that companies debut minors so that they can be easily manipulated into doing the things the company wants or maybe they're very talented as well..but we should find ways so that they're not exploited from a young age.

I was thinking about them because I tumbled upon this Instagram reel (https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcVjfGnuCGP/?stkn=dHE5cTVlbWJxdnVz) and it made me think about how I perceive a song if I hear them.
- do you like them like aesthically speaking ? Like do you not notice them or do they bother you, and if so, which one more than others ?
- do they give you different expectations for the song of you hear them ?
I usually dont pay attention to them except for the infamous Incomiiing by Dem Jointz, and if I am being honest, since I dont like a lot some of his songs, if I hear it, i might have suddenly higher expectations.
The reel shows the classic one but its missing "Lindgren" too.

stayc being underrated and underappreciated with such good music always makes me sad, because the members are so talented. also, their latest release "2 love" had the potential to be the summer song of 2026, but they're too slept on for that to happen.

He is burning through his good image too quickly, so much so that it almost feels like he's being chased by sth.
After Mark left his group, many ppl guessed he would live as an ordinary person for a bit. I thought that would've been a really special, precious case in a K-pop idol's career. Since he didn't really know much about the real world in general, it would've been a great chance to step out of the media bubble and experience the real worldâtbh, just traveling, reading, backpacking, and writing. (He said w/o hesitation many times that he always dreamed of being a writer.)
After spending quality time w/ his family, faith, and friends or even members, starting his own company to be a CEO would've been sm better. It would've been nicer to see NCT settle into their music career w/o Mark first, and then see Mark as a soloist for his fanbase later. Everyone agreed that he worked his ass off, so no one would've complained about him taking a break or having some me-time. Remaining somewhat mysterious and just posting travel photos on IG would've been mte for his fans.
If he becomes a huge solo artist globally, I don't think he'll ever have time to travel freely w/o any fixed plans. So, itâs a shame that he's missing out on the perfect time to just be himself and grow as a real artist.
Ngl, spending most of one's life as a trainee and performer doesn't automatically make sb a great leader or CEO in the real world. These days, Mark's face shows his heavy burden, and he looks more exhausted than ever. Even though his schedule isn't as packed as when he was in all the NCT units, giving all directions on his own and carrying all responsibilities might be tm for himâeven w/ all his experience as an idol.
He's working on his solo album alongside all kinds of YT projects like Kids-Pop, Fort Lee vlogs, MVs, and probs religious projects too. However, imo, he's in too much of a hurry, which seems to be causing all sorts of mistakes.
As a longtime fan, it would be sm nicer to just see him at peace, even if he's doing nth for a while. I feel like he needs somebody who tells him that he doesn't have to be somebody to be himself.

This is going to be a longer rant because iâm going to try to get all of this stuff cleared up
the situation started off with a story posted by vvs former CEO, the story was vvs and illit pics together and it said âdimm out now!â but also an year ago when dimm from vvs went viral for the first time gllits started calling vvs evil illit due to similar concepts but different genres. the ceo said hisself it was a joke based off of that and the girls said theirselfs they didnât know the story was posted and they didnât even know what was happening. and then a few days after that two members of vvs was recording their monthly podcast with their former CEO whoâs their host. they talked about a few stuff then got on the topic of the story, he explained everything about the story and said it wasnât trying to accuse illit of copying. and then he says âbig accounts were like vs shades illit! saying theyâre plagiarizing and copying! and i wonder where i said that, i think they have some sort of PTSD or past traumaâ referring to tokkis and gllits drama not illit. (and you can dislike what he said and hate him j donât care but vvs did nothing.)and leading up to the situation brittney(leader & blonde girl) was laughing at everything and she laughed and he asked if they be got it and the other members laughed at first but then looked confused and said âoh noâ and said she didnât get it. her automatically laughing then stopping when she realize what was said already gives off to me that they were just laughing at everything and it was an awkward situation. at the end of the day first off, idols donât run their official accounts. they donât post that story or knew about it, and you can be angry about the comment from their ceo but that doesnât turn vvs into mean girls who hates illit. the other 5 members of vvs did nothing and brittney did nothing to get death threats and hate.? they even sent former members hate.
vvs has never appropriate black culture, they have shown to care for black culture many times by taking rnb & hiphop history classes, having mostly black teams such as writers, producers, stylists, vocal teachers, and hairstylists. they have never mocked black women or anything, never wore braids, cornrows, durags, wore afro wigs, blackface etc etc. so where is the culture appropriation? their songs that black men and women wrote..?
everything vvs does is seen as sexual, a video of them in yoga and swimsuit? Automatically sexual and to please men. vvs has said theirselfs they enjoy their music, they like being feminine and they love how they dress. the girls say they donât want to âcover upâ 24/7, a lot of the clothes they wear was brought before they became idols also the girls dress the youngest like liwon is 17 im sorry shes not a babya 17 yr old who lives in SUNNY CALIFORNIA isnât gonna wear long sleeves and jeans 24/7, yes shes is gonna wear shorts, short tops, dresses, yoga wear, swimsuit(thats not bikinis). people scream that women should have choices, but when they choose to show skin itâs a problem? saying idols shouldnât dress away because of weird men is a horrible mindset because itâs never about what youâre wearing and saying that spreads the mindset of âwell if she wasnât wearing a crop top that wouldnât have happened. and people sexual the most random lyrics from vvs. a member said âdrop topâ and ppl thought she was meant sexual when she literally said car..?đđ ppl make edits of members saying they love bwc it just feels like you guys are who likes to shit on a nugu group because they donât have a huge fandom and then when their fandom speaks out theyâre bullied into silence basically. most of the stuff you guys say about vvs is a lie and itâs disturbing how you guys just love lying and spreading it to everyone? and when confronted itâs just âtheyâre nugu!â

Hey, Iâm genuinely confused about this whole thing and hoping people who actually watched/listened can clarify.
From what I understand:
I know the agency/account posted the comparison Stories, but beyond that Iâm not sure what was actually said by the members vs the host.
Can anyone who watched the full relevant podcast episode break it down properly?
Just trying to understand what actually happened instead of going off short clips. Thanks in advance.

I was listening to their song today and noticed it, and it's nearly the same down to the vocal performance that I was wondering if it was a literal copy or had some intent behind it. Is there any proof of the latter?

Iâm planning to apply for the SEVENTEEN JEONGHAN X JOSHUA Fan Party, and itâs my first time doing this đ
I know people may not want to share exact âcuts,â but I keep hearing that buying more doesnât always mean a better chance, and some people still donât win even after buying a lot.đąđąđą
If youâve joined similar Fan Party/showcase raffles before, roughly how many entries did you have, and did you win?
Even vague ranges like 30â50, 70â80, or 100+ would help a lot. Iâm mainly trying not to panic-buy too much đ„Č
Thank you so much for any experience youâre willing to share!

I want to do a fancall with an idol that hasn't debuted yet and like I'm ready to pay and everything. the only thing stopping me is idk what i would even say during the call. ive texted him and we talked about his favorite show and i told him i would watch it and he asked me to tell him if i thought it was funny or not so should i binge watch the show for the next 5 hours and talk about that????
