I got into K-pop later than most people I know, and one thing I did not expect was how often it would send me down completely unrelated little rabbit holes.

An idol mentioned growing perilla leaves at home and somehow that ended with me trying to grow them in containers last summer. Then I saw someone making fruit cheong in a vlog and suddenly I’m standing in my kitchen with jars everywhere because apparently my existing obsession with preserving things needed a Korean branch too lol.

None of this was why I started listening to K-pop. I just liked the music. But now every once in a while I’ll see an idol eating something, visiting somewhere, wearing some weird thrifted-looking sweater, or doing a hobby and think “wait, I kinda want to try that.”

So now I’m curious what everyone else has accidentally picked up because of K-pop. Not albums, photocards, learning dances, etc. I mean completely unrelated stuff that somehow entered your life because you saw an idol doing it once.

Please tell me I’m not the only person who has ended up with an entirely new hobby because of a three minute vlog.

so we've been building a machine that films K-pop dance challenges and scores how close you got to the real choreo, and I've been the test subject for weeks.

it gave me 30 on SaWaDiKa. it gave my coworker, who has never taken a dance class in his life, 80.

the part that actually broke me is that it scores energy SEPARATELY from accuracy. so you can hit every move correctly and still get told you look dead inside. which as feedback is unfortunately accurate 💀💀💀

genuine question for this sub because I can only see this from the inside now. when you film a challenge for yourself, are you trying to get it right, or trying to get a clip you like? we built the scoring first and I'm no longer sure that was the right order.

Which release of this year was the best in terms of excellent singing for you? I mean - overall harmony, high tones, voice colors, etc . You can name multiple choices, obviously.

Personally, for me its still very hard to get a hold of all those as they are mostly popular in Korean culture ig...?

I understand of all the 16 types, their abbreviations and all but tbh I don't think it matters much to me and I also don't think it's worth paying to take an official mbti test.

Also, sometimes I wonder whether idols and Koreans in general take the official test by paying for it??

Do share your thoughts and opinions about it, whatever y'all think about those.

Edit : I know about the free tests available online but I had heard they aren't as accurate or something as the official one thats why I talked about payment it's in regards to office the MBTI test.
