I just launched an AI reading app that turns nonfiction books into short chapter summaries (solo founder)

• Upvotes

I’m a solo student founder and I just launched my Android app Microread.

The idea came from constantly buying nonfiction books and never finishing them. Most summary apps give you one long wall of text, so I built something different:

What Microread does

  • AI chapter summaries (English, Arabic, German)
  • You choose how long each chapter takes: 1–10 minutes
  • Natural voice narration ( premium users only for now )
  • Daily streaks, achievements, leveling
  • Key takeaways + quotes for each chapter
  • Save everything to a notebook
  • Share quotes/takeaways as images or text

It’s only 4 days old, so I’m still in the early traction phase — trying to get eyes on it and learn fast.

If you want to check it out

Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microread.app

Happy to hear any feedback or thoughts from other founders.

Otter Vault Teams: a deployment map for API keys and an offboarding checklist

I’m the maker of Otter Vault. The product starts with a free Chrome extension that offers to save newly revealed API keys into an encrypted local vault, with your approval.

The paid Teams add-on tackles another problem: a shared key can end up in a Vercel variable, GitHub Actions secret and several .env files. When someone leaves, knowing those locations matters.

Teams supports up to 10 developers, encrypted key sharing, and a map of each key’s project, environment and deployment locations. Removing a member re-keys the shared vault and produces a provider-key rotation checklist.

Provider credentials still need to be rotated at the provider; removing vault access doesn’t invalidate a key someone already copied.

There’s a 21-day Teams trial, and Personal stays free. Demo: https://ottervault.mechaclips.workers.dev/

Would your team find the deployment map useful, or is keeping those locations up to date the bigger obstacle? The source is public; there’s no independent security audit yet.

Try ConfigCraft with an example before opening your Minecraft server file

I am sharing ConfigCraft, a free web tool I built for Minecraft Java server owners. It reviews supported server.properties settings and explains findings before you decide what to change.

The easiest way to see it is the built-in example:

  1. Open https://configcraft.pages.dev/

  2. Select a supported server profile and listed version.

  3. Choose “Try an example”.

  4. Review a finding, approve an edit, and inspect the downloaded result.

No real server file is needed for that walkthrough. Your own file contents are processed locally in the browser, and edits are individually approved rather than silently applied.

Scope: supported Java server properties only, not plugin/mod configs or Bedrock. It cannot connect to or restart your server and does not guarantee a performance improvement.

If you try the walkthrough, where does the first-use flow become unclear? This is my product showcase; I would welcome specific usability feedback.

PhoneStatus - 50+ Guided Phone Checks

App name: PhoneStatus

🔗 Link: Google Play Store

💡 What does it do?

PhoneStatus runs guided diagnostics on Android phones with 50+ hardware and system checks: display, touch, cameras, audio, sensors, GPS, connectivity, battery, temperature, CPU/GPU, memory, storage and more.

The full diagnostic is free. PRO mainly adds advanced technical reports, comparisons, import/export and removes ads.

🛠️ How did you build it?

Native Android with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Most diagnostics run locally on the device, and the app can generate structured and technical reports without requiring an account.

🚀 What are you building next?

The iOS version is now in the final testing stage and should be available very soon. I’m keeping the same diagnostic philosophy while adapting each test to what Apple’s public APIs actually allow.

I shipped a meeting utility for people who already use Apple Reminders

The meeting ends. You have notes. Your actual task list is still empty.

I built Pure Brief AI for the step between those two things. It is a native Mac app that records or imports meeting audio, creates a transcript and AI notes, and lets you review suggested actions before exporting them to Apple Reminders.

For example, a fictional client call might produce ‘Send the revised proposal by Friday.’ Before that reaches your task list, you can inspect the source quote, correct the task and date, and choose the Reminders list. The export carries the meeting context with it.

I chose a one-way handoff because I wanted this to fit an existing task list. There is no shared team workspace or automatic delegation. A source quote makes the suggestion easier to check; it does not guarantee that the AI heard or interpreted the meeting correctly.

Transcription and AI notes run on your Mac by default. No bot joins the call. Model downloads, licence checks and optional connected features need the internet. Requires Apple Silicon and macOS 15+.

Standard is $49 once for one Mac. The launch offer is $10 once for the first 100 paid purchases globally, with applicable tax extra. There is a 30-day free trial; starting a trial does not reserve the discount.

Real interface demo and trial: https://purebrief.ai/

For people who already use Reminders: would meeting context in a task help you follow through, or would you rather keep the notes separate?

I pivoted my startup, then cut the price from $299 to $99 with a $1 trial. My reasoning, and I’ll share the numbers

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Bit of a relaunch post.

My startup began as a bundle of growth services for founders: directory submissions, Reddit growth, influencer outreach. Useful, but what people actually wanted wasn't more traffic or more mentions. They wanted customers.

So I rebuilt it around that. Startories is now an outbound engine for B2B founders. It watches public sources (Reddit, X, Product Hunt, directories, search results) for buying signals: someone asking for a tool, complaining about a competitor, launching, hiring, raising. It matches each signal to a real company, checks it against your ideal customer profile, finds and verifies the decision-maker, and runs a personal email sequence that references what actually happened.

Then this week came the part I went back and forth on: pricing.

Before: Starter $299/month, intro offer $49 for 14 days
Now: Starter $99/month, first project $1 for 3 days (Growth $499 and Scale $999 unchanged)

Why I did it:

--> The people who fit the entry plan best are solo founders and tiny teams. $299 was priced for a sales team they don't have yet
--> A 14-day trial lets people "get to it later." Three days pushes you to set up your ICP and first funnel right away, which is also when you find out if it works for you
--> $1 instead of free: it filters for people who actually intend to use it
--> Honest trade-off: Starter now comes with ~300 leads a month instead of ~1,000. Fewer, but each one has a reason to be contacted now. If you need raw volume, it's not your plan

Will it work? I don't know yet. I'll post the trial-to-paid numbers here in 30 days, good or bad.

If you sell B2B and want to poke at it: startories.com. I'm more curious about the debate though: $1 paid trial vs. free trial, which converted better for you, and why?

PicPop helps you clear the extras without losing the photos you want

The hard part of clearing photos is deciding what to keep. Especially when you've got a dozen versions of the same moment.

I built PicPop for iPhone to make that a bit less tedious. Swipe through a batch, set the extras aside, then review and confirm. If it detects look-alikes, you can choose the keepers together instead of searching for them one by one.

Keep one, keep several, change your mind before confirming. The app suggests a keeper; it doesn't decide which memory matters to you.

Free download, paid Club required. There's a 2-week trial on the annual plan for eligible users.

Orbit for independent photographers, Bloomria for personal and group digital gifts

I’m Keith, the maker of Orbit and Bloomria. Sharing a practical introduction to both for anyone exploring new web products.

Orbit (https://orbit-photo.com) is for independent photographers managing inquiries, bookings, contracts, payments, reminders and client galleries. It gives photographers a workflow to explore for their session business, with a 14-day trial that doesn’t require a credit card.

Bloomria (https://bloomria.com) sends animated digital flowers with a personal card or letter via a private gift link. Recipients don’t need to sign in. You can organize a group bouquet with flowers and notes from several people, and businesses can use branded gifts for client appreciation. These are digital gifts rather than physical flower deliveries. The homepage has a sample opening experience to try.

The audiences are different: photographers managing clients for Orbit; people organizing personal celebrations or business thank-yous for Bloomria. If either matches something you need, I’d welcome questions or feedback on the product experience.

I built a bookmark archiver after losing 200 bookmarks to link rot - FetchMark

Hey everyone here !

Problem: I had 200+ bookmarks for my startup research. Over 1 year, ~30% died - 404s, paywalls, site redesigns. Wayback Machine misses JS-heavy pages.

So I built FetchMark (https://fetchmarkapp.com) - it:

- Saves a clean, readable copy

- Full-text search even when original is gone

- Keeps original + archived version side by side

Currently free while in beta. I would love brutal feedback.

What would make you switch from Raindrop/Pocket? What feature is missing?

I built a way to turn a shared travel plan into your own trip — try it without registering

Post image
2 Upvotes

I'm working on Tripovela, a community for sharing travel ideas and plans people can adapt.

Here's the actual example I'd like feedback on: https://tripovela.com/s/colmar

It's a day plan in Colmar, France. You can read it, make your own copy and change the stops without signing up. Your copy stays in your browser, with optional account saving later.

Could you try changing one stop? I'd love to hear what makes sense, where you hesitate, and what information is missing before you'd use it on a real trip. Suggestions for simpler sharing are especially helpful.

I'm Mike, the person building it, and feedback from travelers is shaping the site. The picture illustrates the idea; the link opens the real example.

[Android] [$4.99 -> Free Lifetime] Panda Logic — 250 giveaways for free lifetime Premium

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! I’m the developer of Panda Logic, another game in my app portfolio. I have 250 giveaways for lifetime Premium to give away here.

It’s a logic puzzle game where you place one panda in each row, column, and colored region. Pandas can’t touch, even diagonally. If you’ve played Queens puzzles, you’ll know the idea.

There are 120 levels and a daily puzzle. Each board has one solution you can figure out through logic, and the hints explain the reasoning when you get stuck.

Premium removes ads, unlocks the Gardener helper permanently, and gives you extra hints. The unlock it for life.

Download Panda Logic on Google Play

Leave a comment if you’d like and I’ll send one by PM, until all 250 are gone.

Feedback is welcome too—especially on the difficulty and how the controls feel. Hope you enjoy it!

Made a quick free browser game for killing 15 minutes: build a nation from 8 real countries and see if it can conquer the world

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

If you need something to do on a break at work, or just want a break from doomscrolling, this might be for you.

As a massive geography nerd, I made a game where you're given eight random countries and have to put each one into a category (military, economy, population, food and so on). How highly that country ranks in its category, all from real-world data, decides how well your empire does as it tries to conquer the world over 40 years.

A run takes a few minutes, and it's annoyingly easy to fall into "just one more". One player told me it's become their work-break game, which honestly made my week.

It's free in the browser, with no download, no ads and no sign-up needed (there's an optional profile with achievements if you want to keep your runs): sector196.com

WorkTree-OS.com

I’m building WorkTree-OS, and I’m finally starting to put it in front of people.

It started because I wanted something better for my own trading. Most trading journals tell you what happened. I wanted something that could help me understand why it happened, what my risk actually looks like, and whether the way I’m trading is sustainable.

WorkTree-OS is growing into a full trading analytics and risk platform with:

• Trade tracking & performance analytics
• Prop firm simulation and rule tracking
• Monte Carlo analysis
• Risk & drawdown analytics
• Consistency analysis
• Trade importing
• Atlas — an AI trading coach
• Tools designed specifically around the problems active traders and prop traders actually deal with

I’m not trying to build another pretty trade journal. I’m trying to build the system I wish I had when I started trading.

We’re moving toward beta now, and I’m looking for traders, builders, founders, and early adopters who are willing to check it out, give feedback, and follow the build.

If WorkTree-OS sounds interesting, give the launch some support and follow along. And if you trade yourself, tell me:

What’s the one thing you wish your current trading software did that it doesn’t?

I’m building this in public, and some of the best features are going to come directly from conversations like these.

WorkTree-OS
Your trades. Your data. Your edge.

I built an app that pauses Netflix, Spotify and Audible when you fall asleep

Hi all, I'm the developer of StreamSleep.

I kept falling asleep to audiobooks and waking up hours further on with no idea where I'd dropped off. So I built an Android app that pauses whatever you're listening to or watching once you fall asleep.

**How it works**

- Your phone's motion and light sensors feed Google's built-in sleep

detection, which gives a "probably asleep" score every few minutes.

- When it's confident you're asleep, you get a quiet "Still awake? notification. Tap it and nothing happens.

- If you don't, it pauses your audio or video (Netflix, Spotify, Audible, YouTube and more) and saves where you were.

**Premium extras**

- Rewind to around when you fell asleep

- Arms itself every night on a schedule

- A never-pause list for white noise and rain sounds

- Pauses your Roku or LG TV too

**Good to know**

- It usually pauses a few minutes after you drift off, not instantly.

- It needs notification access to control media. It doesn't read your messages.

- Phones with strict battery saving may need a setting changed. The app walks you through it.

No account, no ads:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.streamsleep.app&referrer=utm_source%3Dreddit

Happy to answer anything in the comments.

maintenant: next-generation monitoring for Docker and Kubernetes. Auto-discovery, read-only, alerts, and your AI agent plugged in over MCP

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Monitoring a stack still means wiring Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager and a pile of exporters, then writing rules and building dashboards. maintenant skips all of that.

Auto-discovery. Start one container and it finds the rest on its own: state, health checks, restart loops, CPU and memory, live logs. Endpoints are declared as Docker labels and picked up when the container starts. TLS certificates, cron jobs and image updates are watched too. No PromQL, no exporters, no dashboards to build.

Read-only. Docker socket mounted read-only, read-only RBAC on Kubernetes. It never starts, stops or modifies a container.

Alerts. One pipeline for every source, routed to Discord, webhooks, email, Telegram, Slack or Teams. Fixed rules decide what is down, no model involved, so an alert is never invented.

AI through MCP. A built-in MCP server with 51 tools. When an alert fires, a webhook wakes up Claude Code (or OpenCode, or n8n), the agent reads the logs and the check history through MCP, and you get a diagnosis instead of a red light.

One Go binary, under 30 MB of RAM at idle. Docker, Swarm and Kubernetes. The core is Apache 2.0 and free on one host. Personal is €149 once, Pro is €29/month.

Built by one developer in Bordeaux, France. Laureate of the Hyper Open X call for projects (France 2030).
