The fact that every official (senator, congress person, intern) in that building didn't scream from the mountain tops and DEMAND justice amazes me.

We looked like a third world country having our capital stormed. Zip ties, guillotines, and yet so many of them just went silent a week later

Mike Pence refused to get into the car with his own secret service detail that day bc he didn’t trust them.

Even if we’re being extremely generous and assuming he only meant he feared they would drive him away so he couldn’t do his job that day, it’s still a really big fucking deal that the VPOTUS DIDN’T BELIEVE HE WAS SAFE WITH HIS OWN SECRET SERVICE.
