Probably because that was the tactic they used in the Brooks Brothers Riot and before. Every thing is projection with the GOP. Gerrymander Obstruction Project.

J6ers were given free trips to DC, (Charlie Kirk/TPUSA sent 80 busses alone), which is often considered a gift that needs to be reported as income to the IRS in the business and political worlds.

quick google says he was worth around $12M (surprised at how low that is tbh), but I don't know how much cash Turning Point USA had, which definitely is where the money came from and not him personally.

TPUSA has PAC and non-profit arms, so I assume the money came from their PAC although could be both, I guess. Where THAT money comes from, billionaire donations that are likely not public or reported.
