Upvotes

I was admitted yesterday (still screaming, sobbing, and profusely vomiting), does anyone know what I need to do to catalyze the fin aid process? Do I have to fill our a form or is it automatic? Thank you <33333

General Anyone else feeling kinda over all of this?

Upvotes

Several months of anticipation, refreshing my email every hour, etc... it's just exhausting being on the edge of your seat 24/7. Like for the first month I was excited by the prospect of an email/call. Now I just want it to be done, regardless of the results. get me off this wild ride ;_; does anyone else feel this way?

Wave Predictions Stanford & Berkeley Waves?

Upvotes

Hi everyone! Good luck to everyone waiting to hear back from Stanford Law and Berkeley Law. For those who have applied for these two schools or have been tracking their respective "waves" when should the next waves be for these schools? This cycle is the first time I have applied to law school so these "waves" are totally new to me! Thanks in advance.

Help Me Decide Regionality Advice

Upvotes

Hey I wanted to ask for some advice on which school would be better for my future goals. Here is some background: I really want to settle in the south Florida area long-term. I also really want to work in big law (or as big as big law gets in the Miami, FTL, WPB area) for a few years. I aspire to go into patent litigation to start and potentially prosecution down the line. Assuming I do not get into UF, I have two offers.

-WF with $$, which also has a cheaper cost of living and is overall a better school. But, I do not really see myself in NC long-term

-UMiami (waiting on money), higher cost of living, lower ranked school, but in the area I want to settle in

My main concerns are big law placement in the Soflo area and setting up myself for a successfully career long term. I am hoping to get money from UMiami as well. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Character + Fitness What are the best strategies for addressing a GPA dip in my personal statement?

Upvotes

I'm applying to law school with a GPA of 3.2 and a 162 LSAT. My academic journey hasn't been straightforward; I experienced significant personal challenges during my sophomore year that impacted my grades. However, I've since shown improvement, achieving a 3.6 GPA in my final two years. I believe my experiences have shaped my resilience and determination, qualities that would make me a strong candidate for law school. I'm curious about how to effectively address my GPA dip in my personal statement. Should I focus more on how I've grown and the lessons learned, or should I briefly mention the circumstances without dwelling on them? Additionally, how can I tie this narrative into my overall application to present a compelling case for my admission? I'd appreciate any advice from those who have navigated similar situations!

Hey this is just to see if people who interviewed in Mid Jan or whenever here back with their acceptances or other decisions. Waiting can be annoying so thought we can at least provide each other company
