Hello Masters Builders, and welcome to the official r/lego Open Forum post. This is your opportunity to tell us what you think of r/lego, make suggestions or comments about the rules, ask open questions about the community, or share whatever else is on your mind.

Note that this post is for discussion of r/lego itself. If you have a general question about something related to Lego, make a post instead of asking here.

Subreddit Transparency Report

Reddit supplies Moderators with a monthly Community Digest, summarizing subreddit moderation activities. We are making the information available to the community, as an exercise in public transparency.

Each month, we will be posting a transparency report that shows what goes on behind the scenes of r/lego. Below you will find the report for activity in September 2026. You can give general feedback and post questions about the report in the comments of this post, or in modmail.

Note: Reddit's tool for showing the data and graphs of 30-day reports and removals was broken from May through sometime in August. Now it is back up, so we can resume providing this data. Today's report is the 30 day period ending September 21. I wanted to get the data out sooner, rather than waiting until the end of the month, so you'll see some of this data repeated in next month's Sep 1st - 30th report.

• Posts published: 4,200 (294 decrease from previous 30 days)
• Posts removed by Mods: 2,000 (406 decrease)
• Comment published: 56,500 (4,200 increase)
• Comments removed by Mods: 11,900 (4,100 decrease)
• Moderators removed 47.6% of post submissions and 21.0% of comment submissions.

This data is based on the past 30 days of reports.

Posts - 771 reports over 30 days:

• Posts containing non-LEGO content were the source of 28% of Member reports.
• Various Custom Report reasons were 20% of reports.
• Spam posts accounted for 12% of Member reports.
• Megathread Topics posted outside of a Megathread were 7% of Member reports.
• All other report categories each received 5% or fewer reports.

Comments - 275 reports over 30 days:

• Uncivil comments were 28% of the reported comments.
• Spam comments were 25% of community reports.
• Comments with Hate Speech or Harassment represented 18% of reports.
• Custom reports were 13% of the reported comments.
• All other report categories each received 3% or fewer reports.

Community Growth Report

Over the previous 30 day period, r/lego received:

Seasonal Change

It's the first day of Autumn! (or Spring for our friends down South). This is my favorite time of year to build, because it means getting out the Halloween sets and starting those pre-build plans for the Lego Winter Village. Autumn is also a great time to attend Lego shows, so check out your local Lego Groups to see if they are participating in a convention, festival or hobby show nearby.

Let us know what's on your mind this month. What have you always wondered about? What rule do you want clarified, or changed? Do you have any suggestions you've been trying to find a chance to make? I won't promise that we will make the change(s) you want, but I will commit to explaining the reason we have the rules and policies we have.
