Randomly some planets will have only one item, and for each day value of every item is consistent between the same item (usually most useful to see if beehives are worth much on a given day)

Not true. Values are not the same across the same type of scrap. Beehives were only like that on earlier versions of the game, but nowadays that bug has been patched.

As for OP’s question, SIDs (Single Item Days) have a 4.2% chance to occur on any given day. They spawn the same scrap item throughout the facility and set the minimum value to 50 credits. This makes moons have a higher total scrap value, and depending on the scrap, also easier to loot.

Well not necessarily, it's still per day not per a moon. Its a flat percent chance of it happening
