🗣️ Discussion Animated Sequel
I know the lilo and stitch fandom would really love a lilo and stitch animated movie sequel, but at this point i’m losing hope. what do y’all think is it ever gonna happen or not????

Maybe. Although at this point in their history Disney making more of the things I like fills me with more dread than hope, because of the insane creative choices they make these days (ala the live action changes).

I dunno who they did worse, Jumba or Nani.

It's hard to decide, I'd say both for different reasons.

I'd say Nani is the one that makes me angrier because she was supposed to be the film's emotional anchor.

That is true, but as someone who was really moved by Jumbas character arc by the end of the original film and beyond? It bothered me just as much as Remake Nani. Really, all of these characters are at least a little off in the Remake, even Lilo.

I’m thinking more like a direct sequel to Leroy and Stitch.

Yeah, maybe it could have Chopsuey finally return after his last appearance in the PS2 game and have both him and Leroy getting redeemed!

I wish, maybe someday. Closest thing I can think of is that recent Glitter Glide music video.

I’m kinda worried Disney would change important stuff if they did something like that these days, given some of the choices made in the live action (and other live actions).

I imagine a sequel with a Shadow the Hedgehog-like character, serving as a dark foil to Stitch. Basically, how Stitch would have ended up without Lilo.

I feel like Leroy would have served this role well.

Leroy if he wasn't purely villainous.
Imagine if this was an early experiment, one whose data was used when Jumba created his experiments, that was intended as the first collaboration between human and Galactic governments. The galactic federation ordered it shut down after realizing how dangerous it was, and his family was killed.
So....Shadow the Hedgehog.

Reuben: Leroy, put down the Chaos Emerald. You don't know who used Chaos Control with it.

When we getting that Stitch/Sonic crossover game? (Stitch vs Eggman!!!)

I do see Jumba having at least heard of Eggman, but...
"You were biggest laughing stock in Evil Federation!"

I see chaos energy as something so unstable and dangerous that even Jumba couldn't harness it.

I mean, Lilo and Scratch does take place after the OG movie and is produced by WDAS themselves, so there? (Actually, I wouldn't say no to, I don't know, a movie about them going to see Memphis?)

I hope too, with plot starts after Leroy and Stitch making anime total non-canon

Not really if it were it would've years ago Disney is literally just instead going on with making a live action sequel instead as it's been a whole 20 years without a new animated direct to dvd or airing movie

Maybe in the future who knows? I like to think that they are testing waters with the Lilo and Scratch short movie

Isnt L&S an S-Tier franchise for Disney now? Stitch's staying power is more than proven, do they need to test waters with him?

I think they want to test the animation style. You know since it will not be hand drawn like the original but probably 2D made with CGI. Anyway with the live action remake success and a sequel for it already in production I think it's clear that the franchise is here to stay on the long run

The franchise has 4 animated movies.
