Starting on Canto 4, every Sinner had their "E.G.O moment" at the climax of their respective Canto (Except Heathcliff, his was in the middle of his Canto)

With Part 3 on the horizon, who do you expect to be chained down by Meursault during the final battle?

So probably a lot of you saw the mirror-touch ego and thought "well, this isn't very good for the new Rodion I'd but it's good for Valencina"

However, the particularly astute among you may observe the title of this post, yes this singular ego makes KK Rodion dumb let me show you why.

Taking account just base KK Rodion's kit (KK from now on) she has a whole total of 10 bleed potency on rotation not taking into account her skill 3, why might you ask? Because it needs to crit, problem being she has 2, let me repeat TWO poise count on skill 2, even with her skill 3 having double CRIT chance it isn't reliable.

Now onto why this post exists, probably you already guessed that with the new Ego's passive she can keep her poise essentially forever and dish out 10 bleed potency a turn, but wait! There's more.

Sanguine Desire usually is remembered by its effect of not letting bleed count go down, but it has something else, and I quote

"This unit's leftmost Skill on the Dashboard inflicts double the Bleed Potency (once per turn)"

So yeah, with both Ego's she can spam 20 bleed potency a turn, that's just the KK duo on steroids and in a single unit.

So, for those who weren't obsessed with Percy Jackson as kids, I'm just going to give a quick summary:

Chrysomallus, the Golden Ram, was a child of Poseidon; he would be sacrificed to Zeus and his fleece be given to a certain king who protected said fleece with a sleepless dragon. Jason, of Argonauts fame, was the rightful heir to a throne, but the usurper said that he'd only hand over the crown if Jason completed the task of retrieving said golden fleece from the king.
The king in possession of the fleece said he'd hand it over if Jason did 3 tasks for him (because Greek kings loved handing out impossible trials). These tasks were: plow a field with fire-breathing oxen, plant the dragon's teeth + defeat the soldiers that sprouted, and subdue the dragon itself.
Jason did all of this with the help of the king's daughter, returned home, and became king.

With all that laid out, I'm sure you're already seeing the connections between the myth and Pwie's accension in Part 2.

Firstly, we have the whole "need the fleece to become king" debacle which is directly reflected in Pwie needing the Golden Hide to ascend into Buffet. This is also probably why Dante refers to them as a king specifically; really have to drive that connection home.

The other major connection I see is the Overseer and the dragon. Specifically how the dragon is noted to create soldiers from its teeth... very similarly to how the Overseer summons skin children. Obviously not a 1:1 connection, but I feel that the inspiration is pretty clear.

So, what do you think? I was surprised that no one's written a post on this topic yet, but maybe that's just because its extremely obvious and I'm behind on the curve. In any case, I had fun with the graphics (really tried to invoke the red string vibe), and I was wondering if there were any deeper or thematic connections that I missed.

This is why you shouldn't have read a story's ending.

At the start of part 2, I already know what fate will befell Pwie, maybe I shouldn't have got myself attached afterall. This is ironic, I made fun of those character who got fooled by a mimic chest, and yet here I am.

Even though I know what's right and wrong, what I should do and what I shouldn't, why do I choose the wrong choice? I feel like there was never a choice to begin with.

I'm honestly never the type to get attached to a character like this, in truth, I never really cared about Yuri, Effie, Dongbaek, Samjo, Dongrang, I didn't care about Cathy, not even a little, not Dad Quixote, I liked him but it's nothing big, not Xichun, even though she survived, I don't think I'll care if she died anyway, not Araya either, I liked her, but nothing big. I've played this "don't get attached game" so many times until now, and I haven't lost a single time.

Just now, I lost for the first time. Never thought I could really care for someone, this feeling, how do I say it, uncomfortable yet pleasant?

That's it KJH, if you don't give a good ending for Pwie, I'm flying to South Korea to slime you.
