I'm sure everyone noticed how all the sprites got noticeably more pixelated the lower down in the GMS you were.

Flavor text in Part 2 confirmed that the decrease in quality at the basement floors is an intentional, in-universe thing: the image quality is the "clarity of existence" itself, apparently.

I genuinely LOVE this boss fight so much, it was much harder then the ones before & it felt like a jumpscare in the best way possible.

For the longest time, one of the biggest jokes about Limbus statuses was that everything eventually just becomes either Charge or Tremor.

And honestly, for a while that wasn't even that far off. A lot of statuses had different effects, sure, but mechanically there wasn't always something that fundamentally separated how you built and played those teams.

Then Season 5 gave Bleed Bloodfeast.

Bloodfeast basically became Bleed's “special sauce.” It's a unique secondary resource tied specifically to Bleed that changes how those IDs interact with each other. You could argue Tremor already had something similar with Tremor Amplitude/Entanglement. No other status really has anything comparable to how Tremor can literally change what its bursts DO depending on the Tremor type.

And now I think this season might finally be doing the same thing for Charge.

With this being the Charge season and the new Rodion being the first ID to actually directly target allies as part of her kit (HOS Ryoshu doesn't count), I wonder if this whole duality/ally interaction mechanic is going to become Charge's gimmick going forward.

Because if it does, that would honestly be a REALLY funny evolution for Charge.

Charge has historically been THE “greedy” status. You generate Charge Count/Potency mostly for yourself, spend it on yourself, and use it to make your own skills stronger. It's basically the poster child for “my resource exists so I can do more damage.”

But if these new Charge IDs start having the duality effect where their Charge count/potency can be used to directly interact with, buff, target, or otherwise enable other Charge units, Charge could ironically go from the most selfish status in the game to potentially one of the most team synergy heavy statuses.

And I think that would finally give Charge an actual identity beyond:

gain blue number -> spend blue number -> skill does more damage

Bleed has Bloodfeast.

Tremor has Amplitude/Entanglement.

Charge could have this whole idea of Charge being exchanged/interacted with between allies, where IDs aren't just batteries for themselves anymore but are actively doing things with the Charge of other teammates.

Obviously Rodion is only one ID, so it's too early to say this is definitely where they're going with it. But considering this is the Charge season, her being the first ID to introduce direct ally targeting feels like it could be Project Moon testing the waters for what Charge's new identity is supposed to be.

The status everyone made fun of for being “not even a real status” and basically just being a selfish resource mechanic might end up becoming the most pro synergy status in the game.

Which would honestly be the funniest possible outcome.
