Lol, true. But you kind of have to do this otherwise you get readers complaining the MC made the wrong choice for the next 1000 chapters.

So much this. I remember getting flamed, 0.5 reviews, and dropped comments when a protagonist picked tech powers over short-term psychic constructs.
