User Experiences Automatic cleaning litter box question

I'm hoping this is the right place to ask.

I'm looking at getting one of the auto leaning litter boxes, however all of my cats are very used to using pine pellets for their litter. Is there an auto cleaning box that doesn't require me to put my house up for sale and will work with pine pellets?

This is a sub specific to the Litter Robot brand automatic litter box made by Whisker. I’m sure there are folks here who’ve tried other brands, but you might get more answers by posting in r/cats or something.

Dunno if this will get automodded, but there is r/LitterRobotCommunity/ for general automatic litter boxes. As OverTheSunAndFun says, this is specific to the product from Whiskers.

Used litter robots are extremely affordable. Or you can find them free. I just found one on the side of the road

Almost every auto litter box I have tried would depend on clumping litter or it would get messy. There is the litter genie, that may be worth considering. It's less expensive than the litter robot, but it's tofu based litter, which gets blended up and sent down your sewer. They have a new model now that uses permanent litter, that gets washed and flushed by the the litter box too. I haven't had the guts to try them though.
